Wu-Tang Clan To Release One Copy Of Their "Secret" Album

wu-tang-secret
How insane is this? Apparently the Clan have been recording a "secret" album, The Wu: Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, for the last few years, and now it is ready for counsumption... for one lucky (read: wealthy) buyer.
According to Forbes, the Clan plans to take this album - which will be encased in the above "lustrous container was handcrafted over the course of three months by British-Moroccan artist Yahya, whose works have been commissioned by royal families and business leaders around the world" - around the globe on a “tour” through museums, galleries, festivals and more, charging visitors upwards of $30-$50 to listen to the project. Afterwards, the Wu will make it available for purchase for a price “in the millions.”
ROFFLE. I can only imagine who is going to shell out the duckets for this. Hell, I would too if I didn't have any other care in the world.
Thoughts? Opinions? Bueller?

Next up out of the Motor City, Willy J Peso releases his sophomore fralbum “Euphoria.”  This is the follow up project to “Destination Cloud 9” released back in 2012.  The 13-track LP “Euphoria” starts off strong with a drill hop themed track, God’s Creation.”  The intro is drill themed production, combined with a soulful melody.  “Marijamama” shows the comedic side of Willy, starting off with a skit between Willy and his Uncle (played by Scolla) before the song is rolled out.
No matter what your musical taste is, there is a track on here for you.  Coming from the murder capital of America, with a city that is disarray Willy aims to give you a glimpse into his life.  This is evident on “Minding My Business” which lays the canvas for the city that was once booming with Industry and now is heavily vacant and crime-ridden.
Willy is part of The RLES (Remember Live Everyday Successfully) collective which includes:  Devin Miles, Huey Mack, Scolla, and Anti-Lilly.  They’ve seen a lot of success recently with Huey coming off of back-to-back sold out national tours for his album “Pretending Perfection," Devin being an official artist down at SXSW, and Scolla as well as Anti-Lilly establishing a solid, grassroots fan-base.

The History Of The REMIX! via youheardthatnew

If you know me and my commentary, you know I’m not a fan of these so-called “Remixes” of today. Same beat, sometimes same verses and just a new feature added; I’VE deemed those “alternate versions.” But over time we’ve seen and heard our share of GREAT remixes by some of our favorite artists. The good folks over at EveryInstrumental.com have put together a DETAILED collection of data about The History of the Remix1 The graph includes, – A history of the remix, from the 1950s until now, spotlighting trends, artists, and producers along the way, statistics detailing the growth of the remix over time, spotlights how brands/companies have incorporated “remix” into marketing and advertising, and a poll listing the TOP remixes of all time. GREAT. STUFF. HERE!
