Vado Explains Why Cam'ron Wasn't On "Slime Flu 2"
Vado speaks on his latest mixtape oeSlime Flu 2, possibly appearing on a Dipset album and receiving recognition outside of New York.
While Harlem rapper Vado has made quite a name for himself in New York City and elsewhere in the Northeast the rapper revealed in an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club that he has yet to achieve the amount of national recognition that he’d like.
“Not really,” said Vado when asked if he feels he’s where he needs to be on a national level. “But I’m still thankful cause I’m always doing shows and I always get love wherever I go. Like I said you need the right team behind you to branch off. It seems like I always hear things like ‘I’m only in NY. I’m only in NY rockin. People don’t rock with me out in the South.’ Or this and that, but everywhere I go I get love.”
Vado of course spoke on his newly released mixtape Slime Flu 2 and explained why Dipset founder Cam’ron wasn’t on the project.
“Cause it’s really my time. Shout out to Cam but a lot of people always say ‘Yo, all your songs is with Cam. You do everything with Cam.’ So I’m branching off doing my thing. So he letting me fly,” Vado explained. “It was something we both said ‘Yo, it’s time to do.’ Once I got signed it was time to start showing I’m my own man.”
Speaking further on Dipset, Vado explained why he’s gradually distanced himself from the crew and stressed that before anything he’s a solo artist.
“Hopefully, if it’s gonna be an album I’ll definitely be on it,” said Vado when asked if he’ll be on the upcoming Dipset album. “But you know that was just something me and Cam spoke on in the beginning. I wasn’t built with them. I came after so at the same time I’m not gon’ jump into they situation in whatever they do. I’m an artist. I’m a solo artist so I can’t be too tight.”

Lil Boosie Pleads Guilty To Drug Smuggling Charges
The Louisiana rapper was sentenced for several attempts at trying to bring contraband into prison.
Lil Boosie pleaded guilty this morning to charges on smuggling contraband into two prisons while awaiting trial on murder charges.According to WBRZ (via RR), Boosie was sentenced to eight years hard labor, though he was credited for time already served. He was accused of trying to smuggle drugs once into Dixon Correctional Facility and twice into Angola State Penitentiary.
Boosie is currently in prison on charges of first-degree murder in the death of Terry Boyd A.K.A LIL NUSSIE

Dr. Conrad Murray Sentenced For Michael Jackson's Death
UPDATE: The 58-year-old is sentenced in the death of Michael Jackson for involuntary manslaughter.
Following Michael Jackson’s death in 2009, Dr. Conrad Murray has been found guilty for involuntary manslaughter in connection with his passing.
According to LA Times, a jury of seven men and five women decided on the verdict over two days. Murray was charged with the lowest possible homicide offense, facing a maximum sentence of four years in a state prison and a minimum of probation.
Murray, whose medical license was suspended by California authorities, now faces the probable loss of the license. His sentencing date is set for November 29th and will be held in custody without bail.

UPDATE: Judge Michael Pastor denied Dr. Conrad Murray probation and sentenced him to the maximum of four years in prison for involuntary manslaughter. The judge cited "gross continuing deviation" in his decision and rebuked him for "violat[ing] the trust of the medical community, his colleagues and his patient."

Ghostface Killah Speaks On Ludacris' Diss Towards Drake & Big Sean, "Supreme Clientele 2"
Tony Starks says that he'd rather not get involved in beef at this point in his career.
Ghostface Killah recently weighed in on Ludacris’ diss track “Badaboom,”
which was directed at Drake and Big Sean. During an interview with Montreality, Big Ghost said that he would rather stay out of beef and focus on getting at people who tried to prevent him from succeeding over the years.“It is what it is, it’s rap music. I’m not trying to get into any little kid shit,” he said. “I’m a grown man, b. Grown men do grown men things. We ain’t got no time. We gotta get this money, men. Unless these niggas are already sitting on it, but enough already. We should be getting at the real enemy, that had us [oppressed] for all those years.”
He also updated on his upcoming projects, stating that Wu-Block is up next, followed by his next solo album Supreme Clientele 2 Presents Blue & Cream.
“We got the Wu-Block project with Sheek Louch,” he confirmed. “We got Supreme 2 coming, Blue and Cream. That’s my next solo project. Supreme Clientele Presents Blue and Cream.”

Maybach To Stop Car Production, Unprofitable Since 2002
Hip Hop's favorite car company for the last decade says it hasn't been able to sell enough product, even with Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Russell Simmons and N.O.R.E. as customers.
Jay-Z & Kanye West's “Otis” video may have been a precursor and Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group may find itself in a bind soon. Daimler AG, the German automaker that makes Mercedes-Benz cars, has announced it is shuttering the high-end Maybach brand. Apparently, despite being popular among the Hip Hop elite, the uber-luxury cars just weren’t selling and at that, were bringing down Daimler’s bottom line. Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche was quoted as saying that Daimler hasn’t made a profit on the Maybach, which it reintroduced in 2002.
The nixing of the Maybachs, which cost north of $350,000 apiece, comes with a caveat: the Mercedes-Benz S-Class will be expanded with several new models, which will come to market in 2013, several media outlets, including Bloomberg News and USA Today, have reported. The brand was “1930s-era marquee,” according to USA Today.
The new S-Class “can replace the Maybach,” Zetsche said. Mercedes will double variations of the $95,000 S-Class to six as it seeks to boost annual vehicle sales by at least 10,000 a year.
Hip Hop's elite haven't reacted yet, but it's safe to say Jay, 'Ye and MMG may address it sooner than later - perhaps in a song, even.

2 Chainz Talks Arrogant Rappers, Says Rap Needs A Simon Cowell
2 Chainz says talks about stuck-up rappers and why rap needs a Simon Cowell to be on quality control for music.
PowTV recently caught up with 2 Chainz a.k.a. Tity Boi of Playaz Circle at a listening session. During the session, Chainz touched on the issue of quality control in the rap game, saying that he feels rap needs its own Simon Cowell of "The X-Factor" and "American Idol" to ensure that artists are making the best quality music possible. He added that he would appreciate someone giving him constructive criticism about his music, but that someone who would provide such services could be quickly labeled a hater.
"A lot of people know that I'm doing a lot of features now, but you gotta know that my turn-around is like 24 hours [for a verse]," he explained. "This is our job...there needs to be a nigga like [Simon Cowell in rap] - not no hater-ass nigga, but a truth telling-ass nigga. We're talking about the nigga that says...'That was a nice style, let's put it on paper,' and then that shit [doesn't work out]. Somebody that wants to be analytical like that. I'd appreciate that in the game, especially for me because I can take constructive criticism...it ain't gotta be no shit where you son a nigga. You can pull a nigga to the side and tell him to work on [his craft]."
The Atlanta rapper also spoke on keeping humble despite the fame he's garnered over the years. He said that he never gets egotistical with either fans and artists and the he always tries to respond to any shout-outs he gets from anyone that runs into him. He added that it's certain artists' super-star attitudes that are most adversely affecting the state of Hip Hop today, and that emcees need to foster a sense of unity between themselves and their listeners.
"I think everybody [in the game] got too cool, the whole about coming into the room and shit," he said. "It's like all of us [rappers] know we're in the room, but niggas act like they don't see each other...that shit is what's fucking up the game. I ain't got to dap every nigga down, but at [least] say what's up. That shit's what took [me] a little bit further than the more arrogant [artists]...that's the little shit that might separate from another nigga, 'cus I'll be in the airport and pull that move [and] I'll [say], 'What's up?' when I hear my name...I don't know how to fake talk on the phone, I don't know how to listen to my headphones [and ignore someone]...I could have my headphones on for real, and if I hear you, I'll still acknowledge you. You know when niggas start getting them checks...they [get arrogant]."

L.A. Rapper Arrested in Connection To E-Beef Murder

Less than a week after the beating, Rosemoe was MURDERED on the streets of Los Angeles. Well yesterday, Boscoe was arrested, for the MURDER of Rosemoe. Here's video of him getting LOCKED UP. A man who had been shot crashed into an unmarked Inglewood police car, injuring the officer, police said Thursday. The shooting victim later died. The collision took place at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Florence and Eucalyptus Avenues, Inglewood police said in a statement. The officer was making a left turn from eastbound Florence onto northbound Eucalyptus when a vehicle ran the red light and struck the driver's side of the officer's car. County firefighters used the "jaws of life" to extricate the officer, who was taken to a hospital, where he was in stable condition Thursday, said police Lt. Marie DiBernardo. The driver of the other car, identified as Jomo Adoula Zambia, 26, of Los Angeles, was found to have gunshot wounds to the arm and torso. He died at the hospital. Just two days ago, a video was posted of Zambia beating up another rapper, Boskoe1, on popular hip-hop website, WorldStarHipHop.com. Zambia is an affiliate of Los Angeles rapper Ice Burgandy and he previously claimed to have beaten up rapper The Game on Twitter as well. Back in mid-September, RoseMo made headlines across hip-hop blogs when he and Brick Squad recording artist Ice Burgandy detailed an alleged run-in with L.A. rap star The Game, which they claimed ended with Game being knocked out at a Los Angeles shopping mall. Then more recently, days before his tragic death, RoseMo surfaced on blogs again, in a clip where he is seen fighting local rapper Boskoe1 while his friend, CTE rapper 2Eleven, films and comments about it. Both altercations stemmed from arguments that began on Twitter, involving RoseMo's childhood friend Ice Burgundy, an L.A. rapper affiliated with Waka's Brick Squad label. (Baller Status)
"Shyne Doesn't Give A F*ck If The Bloggers Don't Like Him"
Promising a slew of new music to begin dropping in the near future, Lewis said Shyne is confident in his craft no matter what any critic thinks.
"I mixed like 18 songs for him and I produced the first single coming out in December," Lewis told SOHH. "You know, when he got out, obviously the biggest thing that changed about him as an artist was his flow and he was getting hammered on the blogs for it. But I've got to say, I have so much respect for him for just believing in what he's doing and not changing just because some people say he should change. Imagine if everybody said, 'I don't like Drake's flow, he should change his flow.' And then Drake changes his flow and you're like, 'Did Drake really change his flow because the blogs told him to?' That would be ridiculous. Just because some people aren't connecting with what Shyne is doing, everybody is like Shyne should change, but why? Shyne knows who his audience is. He knows who he is trying to reach. He's trying to reach the people in the streets and the jails. Shyne doesn't give a f*ck if the bloggers don't like him. Jewish rappers Matisyahu and Shyne band together to celebrate the "Miracle" of Hanukkah. The former Bad Boy adds a verse to the reggae star's single about the Festival of Lights, which appears on his Miracle EP. "I recorded this aiming to make a celebratory, feel-good song that still gets across the depth of Judaism rather than the typical watered down Jewish humor about matzah balls and Chanukah Harry," said Matisyahu. Slim Thug Says Occupy Wall Street Needs More Force, "They're Too Peaceful To Me"
While he supports the cause, Slim admitted he is not sure if peaceful protest is going to get the job done.
"I Tweeted some stuff about it but I don't really know much about it," Thugga told SOHH referring to the Occupy Wall Street protests. "I don't really get the whole meaning behind it. They're out there saying they don't like banks ripping them off or they don't have no jobs. The protests are real. I definitely think something is wrong. I don't know if what they're doing is effective enough. I've seen the police clearing them out in New York, handling them. I don't know how to picture it. It's definitely something f*cked up about 99 percent of people not getting paid [compared to the 1 percent of wealthy incomers gaining the majority of the concentration]. That's definitely f*cked up, and I support that, but I just don't know if that's the right way [to have their demands met]. They're too peaceful to me, they need to be a little bit more forceful. If you're going to just put some tents out there, then just let the homeless people stay there and you can go home. They can just sleep in front of those buildings." I think everybody should take their a** down there. That's what I say." Drake's Official Fan Site Shuts Down, "It Was Simply Time For Me To Move On"
The site's founder confirmed her decision to move forward onto new opportunities this week.
Karla "hustlegrl" Moy, founder of the site, posted the announcement on Monday (November 28), along with a thank you to all of the site's visitors for supporting their efforts throughout the years. "I'm on the verge of starting a new chapter in my life so it was simply time for me to move on and explore other opportunities," Moy tells XXLmag. "ATF is still a part of me and I am so thankful for it." The site launched in 2007, before Drake's rise to stardom and has since continuously supported the Young Money MC, hosting content related to his career and exclusive material. Fabolous' Baby Mama Gives 'Love & Hip Hop' Star A Pass, "We Don't Have No Beef"
Despite Kimbella's recent admission to dating hip-hop star Fabolous while she was pregnant with his child, Emily B said she has no real beef with the model.
"She's that kind of girl. Ugh, I don't even want to go into that. I will say this, I have no hard feelings against Kimbella. We don't have no beef. At this point, this far along, she's doing her thing and I understand. It is what it is," Emily said in an interview. "It wasn't the time or the place. She had to go into those meetings and say that to those producers in order for them to get the information. She knew what she was doing. It's whatever. Personally, I would have taken that to the grave. I never would have thought that she would want to say that on national T.V., especially when your man works with him and that is his colleague. But, everybody's different. That was her decision and I guess she felt like she had to get it off of her chest or whatever, but it didn't play off well in the situation." Rocsi Finally Breaks Silence On Webbie's Sexual Harassment Incident, "[It Was] Very Vulgar & Disgusting"
According to Rocsi, Webbie did, in fact, sexually harass her during an October show taping.
"In any light that a woman feels disrespected, and I have thick skin, but when you're at your job and somebody sexually harasses you in a manner that is very vulgar and disgusting, you know, I have no shame in sticking up for myself and telling you you're improper right now, I'm at work, we're on set, there's children around us, you're really out of line right now" Diaz said. "I think people should more so applaud a woman sticking up for herself and the people around her for sticking up for herself than allowing that kind of behavior to happen. I think that we allow that behavior to happen too much in our society and we don't put light on people being inappropriate." While they are reporting that Lauren London is now pregnant by Terius Nash aka The-Dream, who also has a baby by Nivea, who also has a baby by Lil Wayne, who also is the father of Lauren London's baby. Now the rumor started from a fake news source who calls themselves NOT Fox Breaking News. You want to know who I think is underrated and who had a lot to say for West Coast artists? It's a guy named Deadly Threat. Everybody looks up to 2Pac but nobody knew that Pac looked up to Deadly Threat. So I'ma say Deadly Threat.
He used to be on a label with DJ Pooh. He was on the [movie] Friday soundtrack. He was on a label called the Bomb Records with MCA back in the day.
He's the only person I know who's ever wrote for 2Pac. He wrote for Pac. He wrote raps for 2Pac. He was with [Ice] Cube, Pac. He's one of the most underrated lyricists out here.
He's got the knowledge, he's got the lyrical content. Bars. Bars. He's dope. I think he would give a lot of cats problems. His pen is still vicious. I think he could still ghostwrite. He's almost like Skillz from VA.
Cavie has been producing music since he was 12 years old, with a little known group at the time called N.W.A.. Soon after, the group blew up and so did Cavie. He has traveled around the world producing music for the biggest names in hip-hop, so it was no surprise when he got the call to produce Cee Lo Green's new solo album. This project is not the only album on Cavie's plate. He recently agreed to work with Teddy Riley and another album for Macy Gray, and he's also crafting hits for the comeback albums of Goodie Mob, T.I. and DMX.
Mannie Fresh Blames Cash Money Over Botched Jay-Z/Def Jam Deal
According to Mannie Fresh, Cash Money would not clear a Lil Wayne record he had for Def Jam.
"I got this deal with Def Jam through Jay-Z," Fresh said during the Red Bull Music Academy 2011 in Madrid. "Jay-Z reached out, he was like, 'I'll do a deal with you. You come to Def Jam and you do your thing. And I'm over there and I talk to Lil Wayne. I'm like, 'Hey dude, I got a deal with Def Jam and they pretty much are going to give me my situation, do what I want to do.' They were like, 'Just deliver a big song.' So I go to Lil Wayne, he does the song with me and soon as I get ready to put it out, Cash Money shuts it down. They were just like, 'Nah, you didn't get permission from us to do that.' And I'm like, 'Wow, it's really that serious? That's kinda ugly of y'all to do that.' And I'm like, 'Wayne agreed to do the song.' And they were like, 'Well, Wayne can't speak for Wayne. We speak for Wayne.' ... So that was a learning lesson for me and it kind of gave Def Jam a salty taste too because they was just like, 'Every time we do something, if it's going to get shutdown, we really don't want to do this with you.'" "And in the mix of that, Jay-Z left Def Jam," Mannied added. "He got an offer from somewhere for something nuts. So I was Jay-Z's guy at the time and I'm just over there with everybody that hate Jay-Z for leaving. [laughs] So they're just looking at me like, 'Well, we hate you too.' "This is why Mannie Fresh don't f*ck with [Cash Money] because he never got any royalty money," he said in an interview. "That's why Baby can go around flaunting this cash, because that's everyone else's money... It's not even Wayne's fault. Wayne is not getting money. He is given money, he's not getting money. If Baby gets a million dollars he'll buy Wayne a Phantom, but that's in Cash Money's name. That 14-bedroom mansion isn't Wayne sh*t. That's why he have his own company, because he was trying to leave Cash Money and the only thing that would keep him there was [if they] gave him his own thing. But Baby still controls that. Mannie Fresh is currently an artist and hip-hop producer who records for Def Jam South. He is probably most famous for his time producing tracks for Cash Money Records from 1993 to 2005, and one half of the hip-hop duo, the Big Tymers with Birdman.
