Bow Wow Confronts Baby Daddy Reports, "Stop Feeding People Bullsh*t"

Cash Money Records' Bow Wow has come forward to address rumors and gossip claiming he is secretly the proud parent of a daughter.

While not denying he is a father, Bow Wow spoke out against a photo of his alleged daughter.
"Picture on mediatakeout aint my daughter... Some bloggers f*cking suck at they job. Get accurate info for once. Stop feeding people bullsh*t," Bow Wow tweeted June 30th.
"I dont need no blogs to tell my fans nuffn. Ill share my personal issues with my people when i feel comfortable. They will be 1st to know" (Bow Wow's Twitter)
Reports claim Bow Wow's daughter was born sometime last month.
Rapper Bow Wow has become a first-time father after his ex-girlfriend delivered a baby girl. The "Like You" hitmaker, real name Shad Moss, welcomed daughter Shai Moss with hip-hop video vixen Joie Chavis, in early June. (Fox 23 News)
The rapper's mother has also commented on her new granddaughter.
"Shai is so beautiful. She looks like a baby doll. OMG!!! Y'all already KNO what I'm going to do...spoil her and shower her with lots of LOVE," she tweeted June 30th. (Teresa Caldwell's Twitter)
In 2006, Bow Wow made headlines for breaking up with R&B singer Ciara.
After dating for nearly a year, it's the end of the road for Ciara and Bow Wow, two of the most successful artists in R&B and hip hop. "Ciara and I have parted ways," Bow Wow tells TEEN PEOPLE. "I wish her all the best." Miss Info, a DJ on New York City's Hot 97, first reported that Ciara, 20, and Bow Wow, 19, broke up after he was spotted with another girl in Los Angeles last weekend. But a rep for Ciara tells TEEN PEOPLE, "Ciara and Bow Wow have been broken up for a while, but their parting was amicable." (Concrete Loop)

Max B's Not GG-GG-Getting Bailed Out, "I Haven't Had Any Conversations W/ Anyone About That"

Despite rumors and speculation claiming 50 Cent is interested in bailing out Max B, the G-Unit leader said he is not looking to get involved.

Talking to DJ Whoo Kid, 50 cleared the air on this week's gossip.
"I have no idea what that is," 50 said when asked about a two million dollar bail. "Maybe one of Max B's friends started that. [Dame Grease] probably was thinking about it and said, '50's the person that would have it to do it.' And then [he] just said it. You know what I'm saying? Then people take it out of context. I haven't had any conversations with anyone about that." (Shade 45)
A few days ago, Amalgam Records CEO DJ Next also denied the 50/Max rumor.
"There is no bail, you wouldn't be able to bail him out at this point," DJ Next, the CEO of Amalgam Records, Max's longtime label home, tells XXL. "Basically I spoke to Max this morning, I was on the phone with Max and his mom, and Max hasn't spoken to 50, not regarding this issue," he continues. "It comes as a surprise to all of us. It's shocking that a guy as vocal as 50 Cent would have Dame Grease speaking on his behalf. I cant speak for 50, I don't know if he intends to do what Dame is claiming he's saying, I'm not sure where it comes from, but I can tell you this: Max is still signed to Amalgam Digital, Amalgam Digital doesn't know anything about it. Max doesn't know anything about it. So we're a lil confused right now, where Dame Grease is getting this from." (XXL Mag)
Max's longtime friend, producer Dame Grease hinted at the possible bail hours prior.
"@50cent Got 4 million for Max to come out! Mite Be Some Hi-Powered 2Pac sh*t bout to pop off!," he tweeted June 30th. (Dame Grease's Twitter)
In April, the rapper said he hoped to be freed from his 75 year jail sentence before 2012.
The appeal process is done, finally, it's been done for about a month now," Max said in an interview with Mikey T the Movie Star. "So now what they do is, the prosecutor responds back and you get a letter. They tell you, you gotta wait eight to 10 months for a response from the appellate court...You might see me in the summer, you might see me at the end of the year. I'm just waiting on the appellate courts. All my paperwork is done." (Mikey T The Movie Star)

Game's Producer Confirms Armed Robbery, "Could've Died Today"

Producer Mars has confirmed reports earlier this week claiming he was robbed on the music video set of Game's "Pot of Luck.'

Writing on Twitter, Mars assured fans and family he was in good condition following the robbery.
"Dang.. Couldve died today but God spared my life! Praying til I pass out! Goodnight and God bless you!!!!!," Mars tweeted June 29th.
"Ok so just to clarify.. I said what happened not only as a testimony (me being alive) but because I wanted 2 b the 1st 2 say it..(cont)"
"IM ALIVE AND DIDNT WANT PEOPLE WOORYING ABT ME SO THANKS 4 YOUR PRAYERS! ITS A NEW DAY! #NOWBACKTOMAKINGMUSIC."
"IM ALIVE AND DIDNT WANT PEOPLE WORRYING ABT ME! THANKS 4 YOUR PRAYERS & CALLS! IM GOOD, ITS A NEW DAY! #NOWBACKTOMAKINGMUSIC" (Mars' Twitter)
Details of what went down landed online last Thursday (June 30).
The Game's new music video shoot with Chris Brown got gangsta -- for real -- when a producer was held up at gunpoint ... losing more than $12,000 in cash and jewelry ... TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell us the armed robbery went down Tuesday in South Los Angeles -- and the producer, Mars, was sitting in his car with another person when 2 black male suspects walked up, pulled out a gun and demanded the goods. They made off in a gray Nissan Altima. (TMZ)
Despite being on-set, Game and Chris Brown did not witness the robbery.
According to sources on the music video shoot say Mars had walked about a block away from the set when the incident occurred. The suspects were said to have taken Mars' jewelry and wallet which contained a few thousand dollars. Chris Brown and The Game were on set at the time of the robbery, but were not near Mars when the robbery took place. A rep for Game said the set security guards were present on set, but no one at the shoot witnessed the incident. (FOX News)
A day prior, Game tweeted about the music video but did not mention the robbery.
"Just wrapped the "Pot Of Gold" video shoot & @chrisbrown killed that sh*t !!! #CincinnatiHatOff to this lil n!gga a.k.a. #TalentedAsF*ck," he tweeted June 29th. (Game's Twitter)

50 Cent On Amber Rose's Graphic Pics, "You Gotta Have Intention To Have A Picture Taken W/ Your Fingers In..."

G-Unit's 50 Cent has become the latest celebrity to weigh in on model Amber Rose's leaked graphic nude photos and said the images provide more press than damage.

50 also considered Rose's ultimate motive behind the graphic photos.
"At least it didn't look bad," 50 told DJ Whoo Kid when asked for his reaction to Rose's leaked photos. "It looked good. Let me tell you something. Things like that don't hurt, that's promotion. That's publicity. You got to look at who a person was. [If it was] someone who came in that was completely, let's say, conservative, that would be a damaging blow...That was a camera that took those photos, that ain't no camera phone. You gotta know, you gotta have intention to have a picture taken with your fingers in your p*ssy. That may be interesting for you because you've been watching her -- because you saw her with Kanye [West]. [The other celebrity leaks,] those are telephone pictures. Look, if you have your picture taken of you when you're not aware of it, that's one thing. If you're taking a picture randomly, it's spontaneous, [it's] a camera picture. Her shoes change in the picture. It's different shoes. That means you're conscious, got up, changed the shoes and did it with a camera. You thought about it. So maybe she's taking the pictures for her significant other, maybe it's Wiz Khalifa's joint." (Shade 45)
The photos also caught the attention of R&B singer Chris Brown earlier in the week.
"Just saw the amber rose pics! OMG!!!!!! Looks great..," he tweeted June 28th. (Chris Brown's Twitter)
Newly signed Chicago Bulls player Rasual Butler co-signed the leaked images a few days ago.
"So what do u guys think of the Amber Rose pictures? I think or all I will say is on woooooooowwwww!," he tweeted 28th. (Rasual Butler's Twitter)
Following the leak, Rose released a statement addressing the situation.
"I was gonna wait until my radio show to address this but I want to say this now. I trusted someone that worked 4 me & allowed them to use my laptop a million times, I caught this person sending my pics to themselves and I fired this person immediatelyWiz [Khalifa] & I & both of our families have known about this for 2 months now. We tried to prepare ourselves for this day. Those pictures r 2 1/2 years old just sitting in mycomputer. I'm really hurt & embarr#!@%*#ed because I have so many young girls that look up to me. I would never put those pics out of myself." (TMI)

"I Ain't Even Put An Album Out Yet & I Already Made History"

G.O.O.D. Music's Big Sean recently talked about his signature "Supa Dupa" flow and how he has taken the high road rather than slam other artists for snatching up the trend.

While most known for its usage by Young Money's Drake, Sean said the non-formal co-signs only motivates him.
People most certainly want to rap like Sean. Late last year, Drake credited Sean's song "Supa Dupa," from the 2009 mixtape "U Know Big Sean: Finally Famous Vol. 2," as the inspiration for his now signature rap style of broken similes (punch lines with the words "like" or "as" removed), a flow West would later term "hashtag rap." "People always ask me, 'Are you mad that everybody took that style or that you didn't get the credit due?' " Sean says. "But I feel like that just goes to show me how far I can go in the rap game. I ain't even put an album out yet and I already made history." (Billboard)
Confident in his own style, Big Sean recently told SOHH he would include himself in our Top 5 Dead or Alive challenge.
"Big Sean goes in there because I'm my favorite rapper. H*ll yeah. I'm deserving of being in the Hall of Fame because I changed hip-hop with a rap star before even dropping my first album. Everybody in the game you can think from Lil Wayne to Drake were influenced [by me]. They borrowed my style, [and] it showed me how far I can go in this rap game. I'm only 22." (SOHH's Top 5 D.O.A.)
In March, Sean reacted to Drake citing Ludacris for using his signature flow.
"With the super duper flow, I created that one word rhyme style," Big Sean said in an interview. "Drake really made it more popular, but Drake gave me the credit and was like, 'I really got that from Big Sean.' I think some artists just did it so wack man. Every time I say names I get in trouble and it's like I'm dissing, but some people used it wack. If he said Ludacris used it wack, hey. Don't get it wrong I'm not trying to dis Ludacris or nothing. He's a great MC. But even though that style got so overused, there was a lot of people who did it great and there was a lot of people who didn't do it so great. People always ask me was you mad that people took that style from you. I'm like, 'Nah, that went and shows me how far I can go as an artist.' I feel like I changed hip-hop. I haven't even dropped an album yet. So that goes to show me how powerful my mind is.'" (RapFix)
Recently, Kanye West said Sean has the potential to become rap's Beyonce.
Last night, Big Sean hosted a private listening at The Standard Hotel (NYC) for his G.O.O.D. Music debut, Finally Famous. After the music was played, Kanye stepped onto the stage and said a few endearing words about his artist. "Big Sean story is one of the most amazing ever because he literally got signed off of a freestyle, to now...having the potential to be one of the biggest artists in the world...What Beyonce is to R-n-B...Big Sean can be to rap.....And I apologize for being late, I had a Throne to watch." DJ Drama Won't Drop Lyrical Bombs, "I Can Talk A Lot Of Sh*t But I Can't Make The Words Rhyme"

Although fans may hear DJ Khaled and DJ Kay Slay rhyming on their albums, DJ Drama explains why spitting lyrical bars is just something he has not conquered, yet.

Talking with hip-hop personality Ms. Drama, Barack-O-Drama hinted at plans to possibly one-day drop a few bars on wax.
"Nah, not yet," Drama promised. "I can talk a lot of sh*t but I just can't make the words rhyme because if I could make it rhyme, you would have been heard me rap. I just know how to say it but, yeah. [It's possible,] it is. I'm just proud to be a deejay. I never say never but right now I'm happy and I'm blessed at what I'm bringing to the table." (Ms. Drama TV)
Last year, DJ Khaled talked about rhyming on his "All I Do Is Win" remix.
"I love music, [Ross] is definitely gonna be a ghost writer for me," Khaled told DJ Envy in an interview. "I ain't hiding it...Everybody said 'Khaled you need to spit something one day,' so I said you know what, it's only right that I do it on the 'All I Do Is Win' remix and I waited four albums to do it. I'm not a rapper, I'm having fun. You will hear a few verses once in a blue moon, just doing my thing. Shout-out to Swizz Beatz, my brother had took it to another level. Shout-out Puff Daddy, I'm just doing what I do. I love music." (Power 105.1)
Earlier this week, rapper Freddie Gibbs poked fun at DJ Khaled's raps.
"I like DJ Khaled, he's funny as f*ck. I seen him at King of Diamonds and there were b*tches all around him. That n*gga was in a Phantom. You gone get some p*ssy if you've got a Phantom. I can't hate on a n*gga with a Phantom. When I seen him rap I was like "Aww...." But that doesn't mean these n*ggas is bad people. But they ain't gone beat my a** when they see me. It's just criticism. It just happens to get out and then some people take offense to it." (Complex)
In May, DJ Drama named his top five favorite rappers out right now.
"I gotta put [Rick] Ross in there, I gotta put [Lil] Wayne in there," said Drama. "I still rep with the home team. My man [T.I.] about to come home and crush 'em. Shout to my man [Young] Jeezy, he's doing his thing. And I gotta put 2 Chainz in there. He's really smashing the A and on honorary mention, shout out to the homie Future, too." (DJ Absolut)

50 Cent Names His Life Changer, "That's The Biggest Record Of My Career Still"

G-Unit leader 50 Cent recently opened up about his relationship with Dr. Dre and what record ultimately launched his successful music career.

In addition to talking about the Doc, he also pointed out why they recently had tension between one another over headphones.
"I love Dre...Without 'In Da Club' and Dre's guidance on the first record...none of those other things would've happened," 50 said in an interview. "That's the biggest record of my career still. Dre can be difficult at times, and not intentionally. He can be on his own and in his world -- like the [Beats By Dre and Sleek By 50 headphones], we had to clear that up face-to-face, me and Dre, personally." ("Power 106")
A few weeks ago, West Coast rapper Game named Dre the greatest hip-hop producer of all time.
"The best person to work with is probably definitely Dr. Dre," Game said in an interview. "He's always been like a father figure, older brother. And it's just like going back to school and somebody really putting in the time to help you with your work ethic...[Our separation,] it was five years, but I kind of think I needed the break. I matured a lot, it helped me grow. I had a lot of time to reflect on my life and my career and to go out there and do it myself -- but being back with Dr. Dre makes it a lot easier. He's definitely the greatest hip-hop producer of all time, and one of the best producers of all time. No disrespect to Quincy Jones, but Dre's great." (The Daily Habit)
Last March, 50 spoke on his minor feud with Dr. Dre over their separate headphone brands.
"I have a strong personality, a strong character. And I can be difficult to deal with at certain points because I'm vocal. If you upset Em [Eminem], he's just gonna not talk to you. You're not going to get him in the next room you wanna get him in. With Dre, the same. He's not comfortable with friction. That [tweet] is, 'Hey look, I'm here. Is everybody still paying attention?' So they go, "Why he say that? Why he say we mad?" Then the meeting happens." (VIBE)
When asked about 50's headphones a month prior, Dre denied prior knowledge of the rapper's venture.
Dr. Dre totally DISSED his former protege 50 Cent in Los Angeles the other night ... maybe ... possibly ... OK, we're really not sure -- but it's all on tape!!!! Here's the back story -- 50 went on a Twitter tirade this week, claiming Dre HATES him because he's launching a line of headphones to compete with Dre's "Beats" line. But when we asked Dre about the beef out in front of Boa Steakhouse in Hollywood Tuesday night ... Dre simply replied, "I never heard of his headphones." DISS!!!!!!!!!!!! (maybe). (TMZ)

Gucci Mane Brrrrreeaks Free From Prison

Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane has reportedly been freed from prison after being placed behind bars over the spring for a probation violation.

Details of his release landed online Saturday (July 2) morning.
Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane is believed to have been released from prison today. Gucci had been in prison since pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle in April, and was charged with battery, a misdemeanor and violating his probation. We will report more on Gucci Mane's prison release as the story develops. (Hip Hop Wired)
A couple months ago, reports claimed he would be freed at the end of June.
RumorFix has learned exclusively that rapper Gucci Mane will be out of jail by the end of June -- that 15 months earlier than anyone expected. Gucci, who's real name is Radric Davis, appeared in a Fulton County jail Monday afternoon and in less than an hour, he got the best news of his life. The Atlanta-based star, who has been on probation since October 2005, will end his probation by the end of June and he'll be out of jail, Gucci's attorney Mark Issa tells RumorFix. It had been recommended that the "Lemonade" lyricist be sentenced to 17 months in prison for the probation violation, but his attorneys were able to convince the judge to set him free after just 45 days. (RumorFix)
Reports claimed Gucci's predicament was related to an incident with a female acquaintance.
Rapper Gucci Mane's lawyer is denying accusations that the musician pushed a woman out of his Hummer as he drove down a suburban Atlanta street in January. Attorney Ashutosh Joshi said Tuesday the artist intends to plead not guilty. DeKalb County prosecutors on Tuesday announced formal charges of battery, reckless conduct and disorderly conduct against the rapper, also known as Radric Delantic Davis, 31. DeKalb Solicitor-General Sherry Boston said the rapper's conduct "shows a wilful disregard for a woman's personal safety." Joshi said he and his client look forward to having the opportunity to fight the charges in court. (Canadian Press)
Around mid-April, reports claimed Gucci was still behind bars despite having a relatively low bail set.
Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane remains in the DeKalb County jail almost a week after a woman accused him of shoving her from a moving vehicle, DeKalb police confirmed. Authorities could not confirm the amount of the rapper's bail. The musician, born Radric Davis, was jailed on misdemeanor battery charges, according to a press release from DeKalb County Sheriff Thomas Brown. DeKalb Fugitive Squad members arrested him while he was visiting his probation officer, and took him to the DeKalb County Jail. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)

J. Cole On 'Watch The Throne' LP, "[Jay-Z] Just Had That Look On His Face Like It Was F*cking Crazy"

Roc Nation's J. Cole has become the latest artist to weigh in on the upcoming Watch the Throne album and said Jay-Z has already hinted at its greatness.

While admitting he does not know an exact release date, Cole said he could tell the project is superb.
With all the rumors circling the 'net, one can only wonder if J. Cole has heard anything on the release of 'Watch The Throne.' "I don't know a date, but I asked him [Jay-Z] how it was and he just had that look on his face like it was f*cking crazy." (Billboard)
G.O.O.D. Music's CyHi the Prynce recently said Kanye West needed to put some finishing touches on the project.
"They are ready to go. Right now, all the music and everything is done," CyHi said in an interview. "But you know my guy -- we over here with [Kanye], so 'Ye is gonna add his last little pizzazz, and it's going to be ready for you guys soon...I don't know the business of the logistics of it -- Those are the bosses. You never know what they gonna do and how they gonna put it out. They might put it out yesterday." (MTV)
A few weeks ago, reports of a July 4th release hit the Internet.
The Source has received a solid date for the release of Jay-Z and Kanye West's collaborative and highly anticipated album Watch The Throne: July 4th. The information was shared exclusively to The Source by a source very close to the Hov and Ye super project. Later on this evening there will be a G.O.O.D. Music event presented by Heineken and Kanye West held at a still undisclosed location in New York City. Rumors are speculating that at said event, Kanye and Jay-Z might be making an announcement about the July 4th release date. Once the July 4th date is confirmed, remember that you heard it here first. Fireworks indeed. (The Source)
Music network VH1 later came forward to dismantle an Independence Day release.
Contrary to reports earlier today that speculated that Watch The Throne, Kanye West and Jay-Z's highly anticipated new collaborative album, would be released on July 4, VH1 can exclusively confirm that the record will NOT be dropping on our nation's birthday. We spoke to sources close to Jay-Z's management team earlier today who have direct knowledge of the album's release plans, and they confirmed that the rumored July 4th release date is "not happening." Sorry to ruin your holiday, folks! (VH1)

Scarface's Women Woes Continue, Rapper Still Locked Up

Music fans hoping to catch Scarface at a hip-hop concert this summer may have to wait as new reports claim the hip-hop veteran is still behind bars due to legal issues relating to unpaid child support.
According to reports, Face has remained behind bars dating back to mid-October 2010.
The former Geto Boys leader has since been moved to Harris County Jail as of last week where he is being held for two active child support warrants totaling $123,372. He also faces two other child support charges as well as charges from the federal government. According to police documents obtained by XXLmag.com, bonds have been set on all four cases--one for $93,376, a second one for $50,000, another for $30,000 and the last one was set at $500. As of press time it is unclear how much longer Facemob is expected to spend behind bars, but a media relations rep for Harris County's 7th precinct told XXL that he will be held until these women accusing him of not paying child support are compensated to some capacity. (XXL Mag)
Scarface's last Twitter messages date back to late September.
"This n*gga is crazy @zromocitydon like Richard Pryor," Face tweeted September 25th, 2010.
"Go follow Zro @Zromocitydon"
"@ifuxwitcstone too loooooong I'm finns lay it down" (Scarface's Twitter)
Last spring, Scarface talked about wanting to re-make KRS-One's 1987 rap album, Criminal Minded.
"I haven't really came to the conclusion yet of what I'm gonna do with it, but I know for a fact that I'm remaking '9mm Goes Bang' along with 'Poetry' and sh*t like that," he revealed in an interview. "I just feel like - and it's not for a personal gain, it's a respect thing. I'm [paying respect by remaking] [KRS-One's] whole f*cking sh*t. I feel like he deserves that compliment. Like muthaf*ckas forget where it came from, man. I remember growing up in junior high school, and like my first couple years that I spent in high school, I f*cking had that rhyme scheme. I wrote my rhymes like that [mumbles cadence from 'Poetry']. I was that!" (Hip Hop DX)
Earlier this year, Killer Mike crowned the rap pioneer SOHH Underrated.
"Scarface should be called the greatest rapper ever, since 1987. That's how long I've [been listening to him]. In 23 years I've never heard a wack album. Even the albums that weren't sanctioned by him, they were just getting put out. You can't argue with 23 years. There's n*ggas that can say they've been in the game for 23 years but I can name five wack albums they put out. Get a n*gga that can say they've been in the game for 10 years and I can name one or two wack albums they put out. There's n*ggas that's been in the game for 20 years and I can name immediately some wack albums they put out. But when you talk about branching out with Scarface, you cannot grab an album and tell me it's wack." (SOHH Underrated)

"Jay-Z Is Definitely A Person Who Doesn't Give A Sh*t"

With his Finally Famous debut album finally in stores this week, G.O.O.D. Music's Big Sean took a moment to think about his success and share his experiences rubbing elbows with rap mogul Jay-Z.

In addition to having a good relationship with his boss Kanye West, Sean claims he is also cool with Young Hov.
"He's a great guy. He's like Kanye's big bro--he's family," Sean explained in an interview. "We've had dinners where we just kick it with each other and talk and I just soak up knowledge from him. Once, we were in the studio and we just talked for hours--it was just me, him, Kanye and I think No I.D. was there, and I was just thinking 'D*mn, how did I get here?' Jay-Z is definitely a person who doesn't give a sh*t and, from an OG's standpoint, lets you know if you made a mistake so you don't make another." (Interview Magazine)
Sean also envisioned where he wants to be in five years.
"That's a good question. I think I just want to be remembered for my story and as an example to always move on the impulse of your heart, and not give a f*ck what people think," Sean added. "When I graduated from high school, the teacher said I was throwing my life away following music, and the same teacher invited me back to speak at the school. I don't say that to brag, I just want to be an example. I never want to look back on life and say I wish I did something, and I don't want anybody else to do that. I want my music to and serve as a message for this--my music to ride to, smoke to, have sex to, cry to, and just live to." (Interview Magazine)
Earlier this year, Sean talked to SOHH about Kanye West and Jay-Z's upcoming Watch the Throne album.
"Man, I was in the studio with Jay and Ye about a week ago," Sean told SOHH. "I heard some songs. It's gonna be good man, it's gonna be history. [Talib Kweli heard] 'Black Excellence.' To be honest, I think the most unexpected part is kind of out the way with 'H.A.M.' That was probably the most unexpected. That was probably the last kind of track I was expecting to hear from Jay and Ye but they definitely have some tricks up their sleeves. And they have some types of songs that you would think they might have. They really did a good job at covering all aspects, from the songs I've heard." (SOHH)
The raper's Finally Famous debut album is slated to sell nearly 100,000 copies in its opening week.
SoCal rapper Big Sean's Finally Famous: The Album, his feature-length debut after a series of critically acclaimed "Finally Famous" mixtapes, is the first release under Kanye West's new deal for his G.O.O.D. Music label, through Island Def Jam Music Group, and should do in the 90-95 range. (HITS Daily Double)

"I'm doing the three-verse special, 500 cash, I'm only doing this sh*t for a week, so if y'all trying to holla, y'all want to get in the game 'cause y'all want the wave up. ..I'm working, I'm writing and I'm waving it up, man. Only full week special, for a short time only. Three verses, five cash." (Masar TV)
Until an appeal goes through, Max is serving his sentence based on a 2006 murder charge.
The ex-girlfriend of rap artist Max B has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for her role in a deadly robbery at a northern New Jersey hotel. Gina Conway was sentenced, one day after Max B, whose real name is Charly Wingate , was ordered to serve 75 years and his stepbrother, Kelvin Leerdam, received a life term plus 35 years for their roles in the September 2006 robbery in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Prosecutors said they and Conway, who took a plea deal and testified against the pair, plotted to rob two men she had recently met. (The Associated Press)

Lupe Fiasco Calls Lil B's Gay LP "One Of The Best Rap Albums I Heard"

Grammy-winning rapper Lupe Fiasco has decided to become a real hip-hop fanatic by reviewing Lil B's new solo album, I'm Gay (I'm Happy).

Writing on his blog, Fiasco admitted he is slightly bias toward artists from the Bay but admitted Lil B's fearless approach to the LP's title impressed him.
"First let me make something abundantly clear, the title "I'm Gay (I'm Happy)" I think is absolute genius. Those two words together side by side in almost any format in the society we live in can be a cultural and social death sentence. And in many places in the world (even here in the good ole' US of A) they can mean an ACTUAL death sentence. I'm talking a shanked in the shower, beat with a bat, beheaded on Friday kinda death. The best and rarest of braveries is bravery in the face of death. Let's be honest Lil B's album probably won't even be commercially released in certain countries because of the title alone. I just wish he did a song called "James Baldwin" and I would've loved to see you twitter-lectuals and goon rules street professors argue against one of the foremost, prominent black intellectual radicals the world has ever known who just so happened to be an overt homosexual but repped the ghettos of Harlem harder than Nicky Barnes and Rich Porter combined and took the struggles and achievements of the black and impoverished experience and intellectually and dazzlingly rubbed it all in the pasty face of the oppressive power structures of the time and this time as well! I wish a n*gga would!!!" (Lupe Fiasco's Blog)
Prior to going into a song-by-song breakdown, Fiasco explained his guidelines for the review.
"I won't carry on much longer but I did want to get to the content. Now normally reviewers delve deeply or comparatively lightly when talking about an album. They mention favorite songs or less than favorites for that matter, maybe even breaking them down and bringing finer points of production or lyrical execution to light. Well I'm not going to mess about with any of that. At the end of the day it's all opinion and one man's trash is another man's treasure. If you like it you like it if you don't you don't. The reason I give this album entrance into my "Liberation Rock" library hangs on the power and impact of just one single, solitary line uttered by Lil B in the midst of the entire work that is "I'm Gay." (Lupe Fiasco's Twitter)
Fiasco also hopped on his Twitter page to give props to the LP.
"I actually think callin his album "I'm Gay" is GENIUS & Revolutionary, the cover is Genius, some brave sh*t...AND he spittin REAL sh*t," Fiasco tweeted June 30th.
"Controversial, independent, fearless with a massive movement built off a crazy work ethic...sounds like #Winning to me. Why hate on that???"
"You new jacks should really be trying to learn from the Lil homey...I'm impressed with the hustle so salute to @LILBTHEBASEDGOD" (Lupe Fiasco's Twitter)
Lil B's album unexpectedly dropped Thursday morning.
A few weeks ago, the controversially titled I'm Gay LP that Lil B promised the crowd at this year's Coachella got cover art-- as well as an amended (I'm Happy) added to the album title. Now, the whole album has been released via iTunes now. Above, listen to the album's opening track, "Trapped in Prison"; below, check out the tracklist. Wiz Khalifa Vouches Loyalty To Amber Rose, "Everyday I Wake Up Next To The Most Beautiful Wife"

Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa is not letting graphic leaked photos of his girlfriend Amber Rose hurt their relationship by vouching his loyalty to her and labeling the video vixen his wife.

Hitting up Twitter, Khalifa killed any possible break-up speculation.
"Everyday I Wake Up Next To The Most Beautiful Wife. And Bake Up To The Most Beautiful Life," he tweeted June 29th. (Wiz Khalifa's Twitter)
Yesterday, Rose hit up Twitter and said they both were aware of images months in advance.
Those pictures r 2 1/2 years old just sitting in my computer. I'm really hurt & embarr#!@%*#ed because I have so many young girls that look up to me. I would never put those pics out of myself." (TMI)
Rose also acknowledged how supportive Khalifa has been to her.
"No matter what I go thru or how embarrassed I am I have a man that Loves me & has my back thru everything. @RealWizKhalifa thank u. :-)," she tweeted June 29th. (Amber Rose's Twitter)
Last March, Wiz opened up about his intimate relationship with Rose.
"It's pretty serious. I really, really dig her," Wiz told radio personality Angie Martinez Wednesday (March 30). "People think it's an image thing and that we're just doing it to be crazy, but like, for real, for real, it's just two great people meeting at a good time. We just like to crack jokes and stuff like that. She's very down to earth, she's very realistic, and that's the way that I am. Just seeing stuff for what it is and not being blinded by the lights...I'ma be with her. That's why we wanted to give it to the world. But it's realistic. It's nothing that we're just beefing up or just doing for anybody's eyes. It's real. She's a great girl. I really, really am into her...I'm the kind of guy who knows when I'm winning, no Charlie Sheen intended. When you won, you don't gotta keep trying to do stuff that's gonna mess it up." (Hot 97)

Big Sean Explains Absence Of Mike Posner & Kanye West Production On
The Detroit, Michigan native elaborates on why his home state buddy didn't make his Def Jam debut.

Michigan natives Big Sean and Mike Posner have collaborated several times in the past, but the latter was noticeably absent from the G.O.O.D. Music rapper’s debut, Finally Famous. Speaking with Bootleg Kev,

Sean explained that the “Bow Chicka Wow Wow” singer was originally featured on “What Goes Around Comes Around” but was removed for unknown reasons.

“Mike Posner was originally on the song ‘What Goes Around Comes Around,’ and then something happened, I don’t know what happened,” he said. “But definitely, I’m gonna be on Mike Posner’s next album and he’s going to be on mine. The beauty of it all is that hey, we’re going to do more than one album.”

He also explained why the tracks produced by his mentor, Kanye West, didn’t make the final cut. “He did a couple tracks for me, we did a few, but sample clearance came into play. That was wack as hell. And then we wanted to save one,” he explained.

Label Denies That 50 Cent Will Bail Out Max B For $4 Million

Label Denies That 50 Cent Will Bail Out Max B For $4 Million

UPDATE: Label reps deny that Max B will be able to get out on bail due to the terms of his incarceration.
Producer Dame Grease has suggested that 50 Cent might come up with the cash to bail Max B out of prison. Tweeting at Fif, Grease hinted that the G-Unit leader would spend $4 million to get Biggavelli out of prison on some "2Pac shit."

The Harlem, New York rapper is currently serving a 75-year sentence stemming from a 2009 conviction that stemmed from an attempted robbery in 2006, which resulted in a homicide. The Dipset affiliate most recently announced a one-week special where he would sell three verses over prison phone lines for $500.
UPDATE: CEO of Amalgam Records, DJ Next, explains to XXLMag.com that the rumors from earlier this morning were just that.

"There is no bail, you wouldn’t be able to bail him out at this point,” he said. "Basically I spoke to Max this morning, I was on the phone with Max and his mom, and Max hasn’t spoken to 50, not regarding this issue. [...] It comes as a surprise to all of us. It’s shocking that a guy as vocal as 50 Cent would have Dame Grease speaking on his behalf. I can’t speak for 50. I don’t know if he intends to do what Dame is claiming he’s saying. I’m not sure where it comes from, but I can tell you this: Max is still signed to Amalgam Digital.

Amalgam Digital doesn’t know anything about it. Max doesn’t know anything about it. So we’re a little confused right now, where Dame Grease is getting this from.”

For now, Biggavelli has submitted his letter of appeal and is hoping to get a response in the next few months. HipHopDX will keep you updated.

Promoters Beefing Up Security For Rick Ross' Atlantic City Show

Promoters Beefing Up Security For Rick Ross' Atlantic City Show
To prepare for Rick Ross' performance at Summer Fest an Atlantic City promoter hires 100 security guards and numerous police officers.

The promoter for Atlantic City’s Summer Fest 2011 doesn’t expect any problems once the festival takes place on Saturday, July 2 but he isn’t taking any chances when it comes to security.

Craig Newsome, the festivals promoter, has hired 100 guards and several police officers for a crowd that will likely be around 7,000 strong for the Hip Hop festival.

“We’re here to show that an independent company with the right vision and the right teamwork can do just as well as the casinos do,” Newsome explained to PressOfAtlanticCity.com. “We can help the city shine, too…Violence doesn’t happen at every hip-hop event. We’re praying ourselves that it won’t happen.”

The Atlantic City police department also gave their thoughts on the festival and seemed relatively optimistic about things going smoothly, but explained that they will be prepared if anything does happen.
“We’re well aware of everything involving these guys,” said Atlantic City Deputy Police Chief Henry White. “We don’t anticipate any problems. If something does happen, we will be prepared.”

Summer Fest 2011 will include performances from Rick Ross, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Meek Mill, and Beanie Sigel.
