Ghostface Killah Still Planning Doom's Day

Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah has provided fans with a slight update surrounding talks of a forthcoming collaborative project alongside MF Doom and explained its delay.

As things stand now, Ghost said the project has stalled due to timing and not from lack of records.

"He did some beats on [2006's] Fishscale for me and everything's just been, it was just history," Ghost said in an interview with host T-RexXx referring to MF Doom. "But uh, as far as the album, we've done a lot of songs. He's got a lot of songs for me and I'm still waiting for him to send me more songs. We talked about the album -- I'll tell him, 'Yo, people want the album. Everywhere I go, they want it, they want it.' But the ball's in his corner. So I'm just waiting on him because I've been pressing the issue. He said, 'Yo, we'll get it together' -- it's gonna happen 'cause he got all the records. He's got a lot of records. It's just the time, like, when." (RapCity)

Nature Sounds owner Devin Horwitz confirmed the collaborative effort being in progress last summer.

According to Horwitz, five years since the two first announced joining forces, they have finally reconnected, and are currently prepping the release an LP for sometime very soon under the guise DOOMSTARKS. "The guys regrouped just this year and really started fine tuning and really trying to hone it in to make this thing a reality," Horowitz told XXL. "I think just recently it really clicked for both of them what this project could be and how important it was really for the fans." Horwitz says that although the disc is as a collaborative effort, DOOM is responsible for overseeing everything, as well as producing all of the tracks. But not to worry, Ghost will appear almost every song on the album, except for one or two cuts. (XXL Mag)

The duo's "Victory Lap" record leaked online last July.

A new single from the project has emerged, "Victory Laps," and a write-up on the Nature Sounds page is billing the pairing as DoomStarks. The duo will release "Victory Laps" as a digital single with a limited vinyl picture. The record will include the original track, a remix from DOOM and Madlib, and instrumentals of both versions alongside the Serato tone for DJ use. (Exclaim)

Both emcees hinted at plans to put together a joint project around 2005.

Six years ago, brilliant rap weirdos Ghostface and DOOM covered Mass Appeal magazine in anticipation of their then-imminent collaborative album. Last night, the first actual release from said album saw the light of day, via Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg. But, hey, no complaints about the tardiness here; it's unbelievable this thing even exists! The track is called "Victory Laps (Madvillainz Remix)," and it's credited to DOOM/Starks (the latter part of the name a nod to Ghost's alter ego, Tony Starks. (New York Mag)

"I Remember Pimp C Telling Me, 'Yo Paul Wall, You Was On That Square Sh*t Writing Me In Jail'"

With today marking the seven-year anniversary since UGK's Pimp C passed away, SOHH reached out to fellow Houston rapper Paul Wall to share a storied memory of his fallen Texan.

Reflecting on his past times alongside Pimp C, Wall recalled getting teased by the late rapper for writing him during a jail stint.

"I remember when we shot the video for 'I'm 'n Luv (Wit a Stripper)' with T-Pain, Too Short, me and Pimp C, there was a lot of us on the song," Wall reflected on the 2006 music video. "Me and Pimp C recorded our parts together on the same day right behind each other. So we were just kicking it real hard and I remember us talking about stuff. I remember him telling me, 'Yo Paul Wall, you was on that square sh*t writing me in jail. Wasn't nobody else writing me. You were on that square sh*t, man.' [laughs] I just always loved those memories. We were always laughing and joking. I just always remember that. It's always funny. I wrote him as a fan but also as an artist trying to show support to him while he was in jail." (SOHH)

Wall also expressed how much of a leader and motivator Pimp C was to people.

"For me, I grew up listening to UGK," Wall added. "So that's a big part and a big influence in my music. So I just wanted to support him in that way. It was real cool shooting a video with him and being able to get to kick it and hang with him. He was an icon for us musically but just in genera, that was something we all loved because of how spoken he was. He wouldn't let nobody get away with nothing. Even you. If you were his friend, if you were doing something out of line, he was going to call you out on it. And it wasn't like he would call you out with alterior motives, he'd just call you out because you were out of line with what you're doing." (SOHH)

Last year, Young Money's Drake described the influence of Pimp C in his own music.

"I just feel that I'm a huge Pimp supporter," explained Drake, who sends the MC an R.I.P. at the end of his verse. "I'm a huge Pimp fan. I feel like I'm extended UGK family. Bun and Pimp are like uncles, dads to me. They're G's. [When I'm around them], I feel like I do around my uncles. They're still the coldest cats in the world, but Bun makes me feel ... he's a legend. His presence, it's like me calling myself Young Bun B, [when I call myself] Young Sweet Jones...It's just seeing a bit of them in myself; by no means did I mean to offend. I heard it was somebody upset about me making that reference. I think it was somebody in his family or something. But I never mean any disrespect. I love rap. Young Sweet Jones is just a little nickname. People really started calling me that before I ever said it in a rap song. I used to rep for Houston so hard. They just be like, 'Man, that's Young Sweet Jones right there.' I just put it in a song. And it sounded dope." (MTV)

Pimp C passed away December 4th 2007 while booked to perform in Los Angeles.

An overdose of cough syrup and a preexisting sleep apnea condition killed Chad Butler, better known as rapper Pimp C, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner. His death has been ruled an accident. Butler was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel on Dec. 4. He was 33. He'd been in L.A. for a concert with rapper Too $hort. Though early reports suggested the cough syrup was over-the-counter, assistant chief coroner Ed Winter said the Promethazine/Codeine found in his system was from a prescription-based product. UPDATE: T-Baby Receives Racist Threats Following 'Beavis & Butthead' Episode

Just weeks after Detroit rapper T-Baby claimed she took pride in her "It's So Cold In The D' music video getting parodied on animated MTV show "Beavis & Butthead," she now reveals the post-show airing's negative effects.

According to T-Baby, she has become the victim of endless offensive threats.

T-Baby say she's been receiving racist threats, reports TMZ. The rapper told the gossip site that she's been getting more than 100 text messages per day, and is even verbally insulted while out in public. "Goodnight n*****, I wish all you f***ers would go back to Africa where you belong not here. Sleep by your window so I can get to you easier," T-Baby claims one text read. Despite being uneasy over the messages, she says she hasn't reported them to the police, because she's "no snitch". "I feel in a lost situation because I have no one but my son ... but I refuse to stop. Only way I can show how I am here to stay is keep doing my thing," T-Baby said. (Baller Status)

In late November, T-Baby said she shook off the animated duo's playful televised taunting.

It pays to be zinged by "Beavis & Butt-Head" ... at least according to the Detroit rapper who's been BLOWIN' UP since the duo featured her music video for the YouTube hit, "It's So Cold in the D" on their show earlier this month. TMZ spoke with T-Baby -- aka Latonya Miles -- who tells us she doesn't mind that B&B cracked some jokes about her on the MTV show ... because producers forked over a few THOUSAND dollars to get her permission. T-Baby says, "People have been making fun of me my whole life ... so, it's no big deal because I'm still getting paid from them ... so I'm laughin' all the way to the bank." T-Baby also says her exposure on the show has given her the "biggest kick off to my career ever." (TMZ)

Additional reports claimed T-Baby received a few thousand dollars for her "It's So Cold In The D" appearing in the episode.

MTV paid Miles $4,000 for the rights to use her video in a "Beavis and Butt-Head" episode that aired earlier this month. She'll also reportedly be paid an additional $4,000 every year the episode airs. Miles also says the exposure from the show has given her rap career a major boost. (My Fox Detroit)

In 2008, the rapper discussed her viral anthem and detailed its true meaning.

"People think I'm playing but (the song) is real," says the 30-year-old Detroit MC T-Baby, whose real name is LaTonya Myles. T-Baby says the song was inspired by the death of her brother "Mason" who was killed in a Coney Island restaurant in 2006. She says she never expected her track and subsequent video for "It's So Cold in the D" -- which has nearly 575,000 plays via this one YouTube link and has been downloaded thousands of other times on music streaming and ringtone Web sites -- to spread so far so fast or to become so misunderstood. "I'm saying how cold it is in the world," T-Baby says. "How people is cold -- killing, robbing. It's cold out here. People hearts is cold." (Detroit Metromix)

Beyonce Flattens Fake Pregnancy Reports, "It's So Ridiculous & Over The Top"

Grammy-winning singer Beyonce is not letting the media outlets drive her crazy and recently gave her take on gossip suggesting she may be faking her own pregnancy.

Speaking with renowned television personality Katie Couric, Bey took on the fake preggers reports.

"You know, there are certain things that's so far [from the truth], it doesn't even upset you. My mother? She's like, 'Nobody's talking about my grandbaby! My grandbaby's not ever here yet. I'm like, 'Calm down mom, it's okay. It's really silly.' 'I don't like it!,' and I'm like, 'Calm down.' So my mom is really protective and so is my sister. But I'm cool and it's so ridiculous and over the top." ("20/20")

In mid-October, Beyonce's representative slammed rumors claiming the 30 year-old star was faking her pregnancy.

Beyoncé's publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure was quick to shoot down the conspiracy theories of the masses, telling E! News that sites and rumors suggesting that Jay-Z's better half is wearing a prosthetic or otherwise faking her baby bump are "foolish." (E! Online)

Speculation of a possible hoax emerged online this fall following an Australian pop culture talk show interview.

During a recent interview with Australian talk show "Sunday Night HD," the singer's burgeoning belly puzzled viewers when it appeared to have collapsed in size as she slowly sat down in her seat. The clip has sparked a frenzy of speculations, ranging from rumors that Beyonce is wearing a prosthetic bump to claims that she is faking the pregnancy entirely. Another explanation for the bizarre sight could be blamed on the material of the singer's dress. (New York Daily News)

Recently, Bey discussed fearing if the entire world she was a mother-to-be prior to a late August announcement.

It's tough to keep a pregnancy a secret when you're in the public eye, and for a while, Beyonce thought the jig was up. "The whole time I definitely was thinking, 'Everyone knows, everyone can see,'" said the singer before the screening of her new concert DVD Sunday in New York. It became particularly difficult for her to hide the growing baby bump when the Grammy-winner performed for four nights to sold-out crowds at New York's Roseland Theater in August. "When you're pregnant, it's a little bit harder to breathe, so it was hard doing all the choreography and singing at the same time," said the 30-year-old singer in an onstage interview. (Billboard)

Nicki Minaj Describes 'Major' Career Moment, "It Just Shows You Can Come From Nothing & Still Be A Force"

Young Money star Nicki Minaj continues to live out her dreams heading into 2012 with a new limited edition creation of her very own Barbie doll.

 Opening up about a new limited edition doll slated to debut this month, Minaj described the toy's creation as a career-defining moment.

"It's just a one of a kind, limited edition for charity, and so I never thought Mattel would even pay attention to me," she beamed on the red carpet at Billboard's Women in Music event in NYC on Friday (Dec. 2). "For me this is a very major moment, because it just shows that you can come from nothing and still be a force in the main world, a business woman, and hopefully a mogul one day." (Billboard)

Fans will be able to start making bids Wednesday (December 7) through mid-December.

Ever since the singer broke out on the scene, her die-hard fans started calling themselves Barbies (or "Barbz" for short) because of the singer's blonde hair and affinity for all things pink. Minaj's debut album was called "Pink Friday." Charitybuzz will start taking bids on Dec. 19. The bids will start at $1,000. All proceeds will benefit Project Angel Food, which provides food for men, woman and children affected by HIV and AIDS. A Katy Perry doll will be auctioned off as well, according to Mattel. Seeing as Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry have already technically modeled their entire makeup, hair, and wardrobe after Barbie (though, in all fairness, Barbie has never had to worry about a nip slip), it seemed only fitting that Mattel would transform the singers into their iconic dolls. Outside of dolls, the rap star's Pink Friday debut has sold over 1.6 million copies to date.

Drake Addresses Lil Wayne & Young Money Beef Rumors, "You Out Of Your Motherf*cking Mind"

Young Money star Drake has once again addressed rumors and speculation claiming there is a beef brewing between him and his boss, Lil Wayne, and denied plans to leave the label.

 Vouching his loyalty to Weezy, Drake told fans at a Hartford, Connecticut concert Young Money would always be his squad.

"I'll tell you, if you ever wake up in the morning and you think Young Money ain't my team, you out of your motherf*cking mind," Drake told a crowd of screaming fans. "I'll tell you that right now. My brother Lil Wayne is all the way in Australia right now but I got my camera on in the back and I just want to let him know how much love me and Hartford got for him, so if you got love for Lil Wayne, make some noise." Yesterday, rumors emerged online suggesting Drizzy was looking for a new label home.

After months of speculation, Drake is apparently making his move to leave his label, Young Entertainment. He wants out and he'll probably get out soon. The decision to leave YM can't be an easy one to make. Lil Wayne, who founded Young Money, may not be very happy about Drizzy's choice. Can you blame him? Earlier this year, gossip hit the Internet suggesting Drizzy was leaving YM for Jay-Z's Roc Nation label.

According to a member of YOUNG MONEY, Drake would like to LEAVE the label . . . and join his friend J Cole over at Jay Z's ROC NATION label. The insider explained, "Drake likes making music with [Lil Wayne] and the rest, but he's a different dude. There's a lot of hood [ish] that goes down at Young Money, and Drake's not a hood [dude], so he wants to be away from that." MediaTakeOut.com's insider goes on, "Drake's mother is also worried . . . She doesn't want him around gangs or drugs." And it gets better. MediaTakeOut.com learned that JAY Z is pulling strings - to try and [buy] Drake's contract from Bryan "Baby" Williams - Cash Money's CEO. The insider explained, "[Jay] is playing hardball, he wants Drake and he's not trying to pay too much for him. He's moving in slowly. Right now he's working [behind the scenes] on Drake's tour. Nicki Minaj Calls 'Roman' Anthem "Wackest Thing" Off Sophomore LP

Coming off the heels of dropping an ear-shattering Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded "Roman In Moscow" anthem Friday (December 2) afternoon, Young Money's Nicki Minaj promises to deliver even bigger things off her sophomore album.

If all goes accordingly, the self-proclaimed Barbie believes "Roman In Moscow" will prove to be the weakest of her new slab of music.

"'Roman in Moscow is like a teaser to Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which will drop on Valentine's Day," Minaj said. "When I say it's a teaser, it's like a trailer to the movie, it's like setting the stage and I just wanted to touch the surface. It's the wackest thing on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded." On the song, Roman is fired up and wreaking havoc all over Moscow. "Well, he was there [in Moscow] secretly because [alter ego] Martha wanted him to go there, so they put him in this thing with monks and nuns; they were trying to rehabilitate him," Minaj explained. "But I can't tell exactly what happened, you'll just see it in the video format, but let's just say he got out of there." Minaj added that the video for "Roman in Moscow" "will be shot real soon." The clamorous track, produced by SAROM and Street Runner, sees the Harajuku Barbie channeling her alter ego Roman Zolanski, who takes subliminal shots at other rappers. "I told you b*tches last year I'm a rap b*tch nightmare / That's why I call you Buzz Lightyear / Because the time you buzzin', b*tch, you gon' have white hair," she raps. A day prior, Minaj promised to deliver the new record at a precise time.

A few months ago, she teased fans about the Pink Friday follow-up LP.

Minaj ran through hits like "Did It On Em," "Moment 4 Life" and "Where Them Girls At" at the inaugural iHeartRadio fest, and although she didn't unveil any new music from her in-the-works sophomore album, the rapper reiterated that her alter ego, "Roman Zolanski," would have a key role on her next full-length. "All I can say is that Roman will definitely be a humongous part of the follow-up to 'Pink Friday,'" says Minaj in her trademark Roman accent. Jay-Z's Blueprint Gets Dissected In Georgetown, "He's An Icon Of American Excellence"

Georgetown University students will have the chance to delve into the world and backstory of rap mogul Jay-Z as a new course, "Sociology of Hip Hop: Jay-Z" is now being offered by renowned author/television personality Michael Eric Dyson.

Dyson's course will reportedly analyze Hov's career and specifically cover certain parts of his 2010 memoir, Decoded.

The course, "Sociology of Hip-Hop: Jay-Z," may seem an unlikely offering at a Jesuit, majority-white school that counts former President Bill Clinton among its alumni. But Dyson insists that his class confronts topics present in any sociology course: racial and gender identity, sexuality, capitalism and economic inequality. "It just happens to have an interesting object of engagement in Jay-Z - and what better way to meet people where they are?" Dyson said. "It's like Jesus talking to the woman at the well. You ask for a drink of water, then you get into some theological discussions. ... I think he's an icon of American excellence." (CBS News)

The Hov-focused program has also received co-signs from industry personalities.

On Friday's NBC Today, MSNBC anchor Craig Melvin gushed over a new class at Georgetown University taught by liberal professor Michael Eric Dyson: "Race, class, gender, culture, all things that would be covered in most sociology classes and they're covered in Michael Eric Dyson's as well, but the issues are examined in a way that uniquely appeals to college students." Melvin touted how, "Jay-Z's street rhymes that became stage anthems are being taught at one of America's top schools." He promoted the course as serious education: "In the Georgetown University syllabus, it's called, 'The Sociology of Hip-Hop: The Odyssey of Jay-Z.' For about 140 students twice a week it's 90 minutes of head bouncing and dissecting....Dyson uses Jay-Z's 2010 memoir 'Decoded' to break down lyrics, but maintains a traditional classroom, using articles, guest speakers, essays and exams." Although perceived popular in most cases, some students have voiced their issues with Dyson's course.

While the chairman of Georgetown's sociology department defends the class, outraged students like junior Stephen Wu have called it "poppycock" and said serious scholars should be delving into Homer not Shawn Carter (Jay-Z's real name). "The great bard inclines toward the divine; he brings to light much of the character of human nature and puts man in communion with higher things," Wu sniffed in the Georgetown campus newspaper, The Hoya. "Rap music frolics in the gutter, resplendent in vulgarity and the most crass of man's wants." (New York Daily News)

This is not the first time a music icon like Jay-Z has been the center of attention for a class, as past courses have focused on late legends including Tupac Shakur and Marvin Gaye.

Classes centered on pop culture superstars like Bruce Springsteen have sprouted on college campuses in recent years; Dyson himself says he's previously taught classes on Tupac Shakur and Marvin Gaye at theUniversity of Pennsylvania. He says Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, is a worthy subject because of his diversity of business interests -- a clothing entrepreneur, he's also a part owner of the NBA's New Jersey Nets (soon to move to his native New Yorkborough of Brooklyn) -- as well as his immense cross-cultural appeal and "lyrical prowess" in articulating contemporary black culture and his place in it. Lil Wayne Named 'Deadest Rapper Alive', "He's Being Used By Satan"

Although rap star Lil Wayne has Grammy awards and multi-platinum album sales cementing his iconic status, a Philadelphia pastor has released a new book, Deadest Rapper Alive: The Rise of Lil Wayne and the Fall of Urban Youth which criticizes Weezy's achievements.

Primarily citing the mid-2000's Tha Carter album series as sparking Weezy's claim to fame, Pastor Jomo K. Johnson's book accuses him of being under demonic influence.

"It is the testimony of Scripture that Dwayne Carter, as a blatant blasphemer of God, by the promotion of anti-Christian philosophies and principles, through his professed love of acts of disobedience toward God, and by the conduct of his own lifestyle, is under the influence of demonic spirits. And, as being under this influence, he himself is being used by Satan to lead countless millions down a path of deception and destruction. And these millions happen to be urban youth. Lil' Wayne as an unbelieving man is not only under the influence of Satan but he is also involved in demonic occult practices. Those who are involved in this type of practice will fully have interaction with demonic spirits in order to receive some earthly benefits. These benefits are usually money, influence, protection, or revenge. These benefits did not come without costs. Johnson also sent an e-mail out to media sites explaining his motivation for putting the controversial book together.

First and foremost, I have completed a new book called Deadest Rapper Alive: The Rise of Lil Wayne and the Fall of Urban Youth. The book speaks about the cultural impact of Rapper Lil' Wayne. I was motivated to write this book after seeing his strong and negative impact upon many young urban males in North Philadelphia. My heart was grieved by the utter darkness Lil' Wayne was proclaiming and the influence it was having on young males with no father figures. Thus...I wrote this work. I am sending this email out to see if there is a possibility that this story could be covered by your site. I believe that this topic is an extremely important issue and that my perspective as a Young Pastor allows me to have some unique insight to the matter. The book also contains an important prophecy for Hip Hop in 2012 and the judgment God is going to bring because of the Blasphemies against Christ. Earlier this year, hip-hop pioneer DJ Afrika Bambaataa said the rap game had been taken over by an otherworldly force.

"Hip-Hop has been hijacked by a Luciferian conspiracy," he says, quite matter-of-factly. "People have used hip-hop in a lot of ways that cause a lot of mind problems. They use the word wrongfully. They use it to mean a part instead of a whole. Like many of these [radio] stations say they're hip-hop, they're playing hip-hop. I go to these stations, and these so-called program directors don't know jack crap about hip-hop culture. They know rap to a certain extent. But I question them. In 2010, MC Hammer labeled Jay-Z a devil worshipper in multiple interviews, via Twitter and in his "Better Run Run" music video.

"Let's deal with it from his perspective. I have heard it a lot of people say; 'Why would Hammer get mad about the truth right - Jay didn't diss him, he said something that is true?' The same argument applies, why would you get mad if you're a fan of his? Did he not say - 'life begins when the church ends' [in 'Empire State of Mind']? Did he not say - 'Jesus can't save you?' Why you getting mad, have I said something that is not true? Did I put the video with bullets around the cross round Jesus in his ['On to the Next One'] video? Have I said something that is not true? I haven't said something that is not true. Where have I made up something. Brooklyn rapper Fabolous appears to be headed Nas' way with plans to fix his entire grill including the iconic chipped front tooth.

Appearing on New York radio station Hot 97 Thursday (December 1), Fab publicly broke the news.

"I'm going to get all of my teeth fixed soon," Fab told radio host Angie Martinez. "[Even my chipped tooth?] Yup. I am. I'm getting too old to have a chipped tooth in my mouth. Nas Is Still Out For Dead Presidents, Cashes-In $14K Off Work Of Art

Rap veteran Nas is still out for presidents to represent him after reportedly banking $14,000 for a painting he put together during a live Miami concert Thursday (December 1) night.

Performing at Miami's Ricochet Bar & Lounge, Nas' painting received five bids.

It was only $14,000. No big deal. Nas slapped a bit of watercolor and scribbled some washable marker onto an oversized sketchpad, all while rapping his classic "Made You Look." As fans recorded every second on their smartphones, the rap icon produced a masterpiece right before our eyes in proper Art Basel fashion. Five bids later and it sold -- a $14,000 charity bid from the host of the party, photographer Rashid Johnson. (Miami New Times)

Nas also confirmed the purchase by giving his post-sale reaction.

Back in 2009, fellow New York rapper/producer Swizz Beatz showed off a painting of late pop icon Michael Jackson.

Swizz Beatz is getting more and more into art these days. Last year, he revealed some of his art collection to the New York Post, then recently he gave Eve a tattoo of a black window. Now, just Tuesday night (July 13), he created his own art piece ... of Michael Jackson. The superproducer created a mixed-media portrait of a young Michael Jackson in memory of the late King of Pop, and posted it via Twitter. Soulja Boy's Landlord Tells Em To Hop Up Out The Bed, Slapped W/ Eviction Notice

Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy Tell Em appears to be falling on hard times these days as new reports claim he has been issued an eviction notice for failing to pay his rent. 

According to reports, Soulja Boy owes nearly $5,000 for his Atlanta crib and has 72 hours to pay up.

A rough year for Soulja Boy is about to get rougher -- he's been served with an eviction notice, TMZ has learned. Soulja's 2011 has included ... lying about buying a private jet, pissing off the military with one of his songs and getting arrested for allegedly carrying weed and a gun in a briefcase. Now TMZ has learned the rapper, real name DeAndre Way, has not paid his November rent for his Atlanta pad -- a whopping $4,725 -- so he's been served with eviction papers. Soulja Boy's latest woe comes weeks after he was arrested in Georgia on gun and drug-related charges.

Ironically, the only person Soulja Boy spoke briefly to on the matter, when I was around, was his celebrity friend, Justin Bieber, who shared a phone conversation with the rapper. "What about the whole jail thing?" Bieber -- who was apparently with Sean Kingston at the time -- asked Soulja Boy, while on speaker phone. Soulja Boy calmly told Bieber that his lawyer got everything straight. "We will be praying for you," Bieber responded before sharing his excitement of his new Cadillac. (Billboard)

In mid-October, Soulja Boy proclaimed his innocence in the case.

Soulja Boy was arrested Tuesday, October 18 morning on marijuana and gun possession charges. The 21-year-old rapper, however, is adamant he's innocent. In fact, he proclaimed his innocence to his screaming fans when he walked out of jail after posting a $10,000 bond later that day. "I'm innocent man. I love you all. I just want you'll to know I'm innocent," declared the "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" MC, whose real name is DeAndre Way. CBS Atlanta detailed that he made the quick statement while being escorted to an awaiting car outside a bail bond company by his bodyguards. (Ace Showbiz)

Young Money star Nicki Minaj has kept her word on dropping new music from her forthcoming Pink Friday: Roman's Reloaded solo album by releasing the single, "Roman in Moscow," today.

On the track, Minaj transforms into her alternate rap persona "Roman Zolanski" and flows off production from SAROM and Street Runner.

Nicki Minaj channels her alter ego in her new teaser single "Roman in Moscow," presumably off her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, due on Valentine's Day. The clamorous track, produced by SAROM and Street Runner, sees the Harajuku Barbie channeling her alter ego Roman Zolanski, who takes subliminal shots at other rappers. A few months ago, she teased fans about the follow-up LP.

Minaj ran through hits like "Did It On Em," "Moment 4 Life" and "Where Them Girls At" at the inaugural iHeartRadio fest, and although she didn't unveil any new music from her in-the-works sophomore album, the rapper reiterated that her alter ego, "Roman Zolanski," would have a key role on her next full-length. "All I can say is that Roman will definitely be a humongous part of the follow-up to 'Pink Friday,'" says Minaj in her trademark Roman accent. In August, the self-proclaimed Barbie said she had no plans to seek out guest features on the second LP.

Nicki Minaj plans to head back to the studio this fall to begin work on her sophomore LP, the follow-up to 2010's Pink Friday. The over-the-top rapper is keeping most of the album details close to the vest, but does say that one of her personas will play a big part on the LP. "I Learned So Much Stuff From Kanye West In Such A Short Amount Of Time, It's Ridiculous"

SOHH recently caught up with Atlanta rapper Roscoe Dash to get his opinion on Kanye West receiving a staggering seven Grammy nominations for his 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Roscoe, who has worked with Kanye in the past, says that even before the nominations were announced he was rooting for Mr. West.

"When people ask me who is my favorite person that I've worked with I always say Kanye. Ye is so, so creative ... he always maintains such a high level of creativity and energy going whenever you're in the room with him. I admire that about him ... I learned so much about him in such a short amount of time, it's ridiculous."(SOHH)

Dash went on to add that, despite his reputation as an egomaniac, West values the opinion of fellow entertainers.

"He's really down to Earth. He'll ask you, 'Yo -- what do you think about this?' Then he figures out the best way to troubleshoot and make the song the best that it can be. He's never been afraid to step into other lanes and add a little depth to his music. He takes his music and just does this crazy stuff to it to make it poppin' and really have it appeal to everybody."(SOHH)

Last month, G.O.O.D. Music artist Big Sean told SOHH Mr. West was responsible for forging a connection between himself and Nicki Minaj, who not only appears on MBDTF but is nominated for a 'Best New Artist' Grammy this year.

"Me and Nicki have had a relationship for a while as friends. I've known her since we were working on Kanye West's album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. We were all out in Hawaii kickin' it and from there we've always been cool. Kanye leads this year's "Grammy family" with a total of 7 nominations, the second year in a row a rap artist has been at the forefront for the highly coveted award.

Adele is up for six Grammys including song and record of the year, for Rolling in the Deep, and best album, for 21. Rapper Kanye West leads the field with seven, while Bruno Mars and the Foo Fighters also have six each. Mars, also up for best song, record and album, said; "It feels incredible." Drake's Rep Clears The Air On Management Situation

A day after Young Money's Drake had the Internet going nuts over reportedly firing his entire Hip Hop Since 1978 management team, one of the rapper's representatives has come forward to clarify his situation.

According to a William Morris Entertainment rep, Drizzy has only parted ways with International Creative Management (ICM).

"WME now represents Drake in all areas worldwide," a rep said in a statement. "Contrary to previous reports, there has been no change with Drake's management team, and he continues to be managed by Gee Roberson, Al Branch, Kyambo Joshua and Bryant Cortez of Hip Hop Since 1978." (AHH)

Yesterday, reports emerged online claiming Drizzy cleaned house.

The "What's My Name" rapper also gave notice to his agents at International Creative Management including Dana Sims and Robert Gibbs, who were "panicked" yesterday about their outstanding deals with the chart topper. William Morris Endeavor agent Brent Smith's assistant confirmed that he has taken on the Cash Money artist. Smith also reps David Crosby, Snoop Dogg and Graham Nash. "Drake just felt like there were too many hands in his pockets," a source said. "He was getting pulled in too many different directions." Our source added there was conflict between the rapper's original management team in Canada and the ones he picked up along the way. "His team from Canada is trying to wrestle back control," a source said. "He may go back to them to streamline things." (New York Post)

However, later reporting suggested he had only parted ways with ICM.

Drake has parted ways with ICM but is still represented by Hip Hop Since 1978, despite a report claiming the contrary that appeared in the New York Post early today, a rep for William Morris Endeavor confirmed to Billboard.biz this afternoon. The report cited sources claiming that Drake had left his longtime management firm in an effort to consolidate all of his representation. However, a representative at WME did confirm that Drake will no longer be represented by International Creative Management in any capacity moving forward, adding that an official statement would be forthcoming. ICM also confirmed to Billboard that the firm will no longer represent Drake in domestic touring. (Billboard Biz)

In October, he made headlines for signing with talent agency William Morris.

Drake isn't just all talk either, as the rapper told MTV News that he recently partnered with talent agency William Morris to help resurrect his career in front of the camera. "We're just building up our relationship, so I'm excited to get back into it. I found a home and I feel very proud of where I'm at and I'm excited to move forward and start getting back out there, man," he admitted. "Whatever projects there are available, I'm down." (MTV)

Amber Rose Promises To Put Her 'Daddy' On New LP, "I Brought Everything To Him"

Video vixen Amber Rose's constant display of love for Wiz Khalifa will also be on demonstration in the studio, she promises to feature the rap star on her upcoming solo album.

Although the project is still in its early stages, Rose said her "daddy" would make the final cut.

"I'm still in the beginning stages of it right now. I'm working hard. I'm in the studio every single day. I'm just really inspired and motivated," Amber Rose told The Juice. "My music is like house-club music, fun dance music. I'm singing, I'm rapping, I'm talking a litte sh*t." When asked if we'll hear Wiz on the album, she responded, "Of course! Of course, that's my daddy!" "I brought everything to him. He's like, 'Baby you have to do this. You have talent. You write all your stuff,'" Rose said of Wiz. "He inspired me to do it." (Billboard)

Recently, Rose told SOHH she practically sleeps in the recording booth.

The music that I make is fun, it's dancemusic, it's club, just super fun music that gets you in a great mood and makes you happy. In early November, Rose credited Khalifa for pushing her to take music seriously.

"My inspirations would probably be... Definitely Missy Elliott, definitely, Fergie - when she's rapping and Pitbull. Just big, big music - Dance music that just makes you happy," she said in an interview. "[Wiz's] definitely a part of that influence. Just seeing how he works, how he is in the studio and just how talented he is. ... I write all my own stuff, I've been writing music for a period of time, and it's always been personal for me. I never really opened up about it but you know Wiz is the love of my life, so I told him: 'Babe, I wrote all this stuff...' and he's like, 'Baby... You have pure talent. You can do this.' In addition to modeling, television and music, she is currently trying her hand at acting.

"It's been a really amazing year. I have two movies coming out, one is Just Add Water, which is a sci-fi thriller, where I play a supervisor to all the Androids on a spaceship. Then in Gang of Roses 2, I play a bounty hunter who is also a butch lesbian, which was super cool, because even though I dress androgynous sometimes, I'm really feminine. "The Taylor Gang Is One Gang, But We're All Different"

With the recent addition of Lola Monroe and Juicy J to Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang family, SOHH spoke to rapper Chevy Woods about his role in the crew as well as how the unit works as one.

Chevy, while on tour in Ireland, said that each member brings something special to the table.

"I'm bringing my me and my laid back personality. The Taylor Gang is one gang, but we're all different. No one is trying to be other other. All of us do little things to spread their message to the world. Each Taylor Gang member is good with the lane of music they're doing ... we can jump into each others lane and make it work. As far as what I want to get out the game, I'm not looking for a big pot of gold or a certain amount of money or none of that sh**. I'm just lookin' for the repsect and the love." (SOHH)

Woods told SOHH that his union with Khalifa grew out of a labor of love.

"I'm just like everybody else: From the hood, did the street sh** and eventually figured out that it wasn't for me. I started dabbling into the music ... fast forward a little bit I found a recording studio and Wiz was in the next room. We heard each others music and we decided to collaborate. It's been work, work, work ever since.(SOHH)

Southern rapper Juicy J is now part of the Taylor Gang movement, having joined the crew late last month.

"We been talking about it and it just went down," Juicy tells xxlmag.com. "They like brothers to me. It's a blessing. I've been doing this over twenty years [and for] people to still recognize my music and appreciate my music, it's a blessing." Juicy J says that both he and Wiz are already hard at work. "Wiz got a new album coming out next year," he shares. "It's crazy. He's got over 40 songs done. He's still recording. And he's got a compilation album he's gonna put out featuring all of his artists." According to the Memphis native, as of now, those other artists are Chevy Woods, Lola Monroe, Neako and possibly others. (XXL Mag)

In a previous interview, Chevy noted that if it were not for Wiz Khalifa, he may still be on the block hustling.

Fabolous Can't Get Down W/ "Love & Hip Hop" Antics, "It's Just Not My Cup Of Tea"

Brooklyn rapper Fabolous' name may have been thrown around in this new season of reality show "Love & Hip Hop," however, Loso has no plans in supporting the program's wild antics.

Although Fab admits the "Love & Hip Hop" team caught footage of him supporting perceived ex-girlfriend Emily B at a gathering, he claims fans should not expect to see him featured on the show again.

"I don't think so," Fab told radio host Angie Martinez when asked if he would ever appear in "Love & Hip Hop." "I really went to support [girlfriend] Emily and something she was doing and I guess her show [cameras] were there and of course they took that and put a trailer or something together and put me in the trailer. ... It's just not my cup of tea. It's one side of what's going on and I don't bash it but I'm really not in support of it either. I don't think it depicts me as I am. It just depicts a one-sided version of what's really going on. It's a few different things that I don't agree with, with the show. Ownership is one of them, there's no ownership on her side. She's kind of a piece of somebody else's show and I'm not with that. I put too many years in business of me working in this industry for me to be a piece of somebody else's things." (Hot 97)

Emily B recently said she had no issues with video vixen Kimbella despite her announcing a romantic relationship with Fab while she was still pregnant with their son three years ago.

"She's that kind of girl. Ugh, I don't even want to go into that. I will say this, I have no hard feelings against Kimbella. We don't have no beef. At this point, this far along, she's doing her thing and I understand. It is what it is," Emily said in an interview. "It wasn't the time or the place. She had to go into those meetings and say that to those producers in order for them to get the information. She knew what she was doing. It's whatever. Personally, I would have taken that to the grave. I never would have thought that she would want to say that on national T.V., especially when your man works with him and that is his colleague. Around mid-November, Emily described how intense co-star Chrissy Lampkin and Kimbella's televised fight really was.

"The fight was crazy, it was out of control and there were definitely punches landed. It was insane. We really didn't know it was going to happen. It was out of nowhere. It was a crazy moment. I don't condone violence and I never wanted Chrissy to fight anybody, but I do understand that there was a lot of emotion in that room," Emily said in an interview. "She took it personal what [Kimbella] was saying, so it kind of turned from a conversation between me and her to her and Chrissy. It was crazy. [Kimbella] was on the floor, her contacts came out of her eyes, she was completely without clothes on the floor. She was laying out naked on the floor. Her dress went up to her neck. T.I. Confirms 50 Cent Phone Convo, "We Have A Concise Understanding"

Grammy-winning rapper T.I. has decided to let fans know he and 50 Cent have ironed out past issues revolving around remarks about his wife, Tiny, not taking the fall for his 2010 drug possession conviction.


While Tiny was asked by television host Wendy Williams for her reaction to 50's past comments, Tip interrupted and confirmed they recently chopped it up.

"Pause, listen, [laughs]," Tip said stopping Tiny from answering the question. "I've already been very vocal about how I felt as it pertains to that and I've since had a conversation with Fif, you know, and now we have a concise understanding." ("The Wendy Williams Show")

Last weekend, Fif said he personally talked to T.I. and they were on good terms.
