Fabolous On Supergroup Dreams, "[It's] A Little Taste Of That..."

Ideally, Fab envisions the album showcasing his and Ne-Yo's verbal skills while Leslie's talents are conveyed behind the boards.
"We just really started it, we've also talked about doing a project with me and Ne-Yo, kind of a Best of Both Worlds project -- with Ryan Leslie on the production," Fab explained in an interview. "'You Be Killin' Em 2' is a little taste of that. Just to hear how it would start. That remix came from the original song which [it] complimented women. This one does the same but I wanted to change the vibe. Summer's coming, you know, weather's breaking. I wanted it to be that sexy summer song. A lot of guys are like, 'Oh man, where's the bars? It's not enough bars.' It's eight bar verses but the vibe is there. I think most people connected with that more than saying it's just going to be a big hip-hop record. I wanted the vibe to still be there and the girls to get it. The beat ain't no punk neither. You can bop your head to the beat whether you a dude or a girl." (Rap Radar)
Around late January, Fab hinted at plans to link up with Ne-Yo for a full-length LP.
"I think this year too I might be doing this project with Ne-Yo finally," he told XXL. "We've been in talks for a minute. It's really sounding like it's gonna get done. Ne-Yo is really hyped about it. I just fell back on it, but now I see the wheels are turning a little bit. I think we need that for the game. Some of the allure from the game is gone. You see people doing less numbers, so now let's do some vanity projects where people are collaborating together." (XXL Mag)
In 2009, Leslie discussed possibly linking up with Fab and Ne-Yo to create a supergroup.
"We're talking about a triple-team collaboration that's really gonna hurt the game," he revealed. "Your boy Fab, the boy Ne-Yo and yours truly on the board. It's really gonna put a hurting on everybody...The table is open -- if you're bringing something to the table, you can break bread. It's about conceptualizing. It's not gonna be a project that's thrown together. It's gonna be a real roundtable, and we're gonna talk about really putting something in the atmosphere that contributes something that's never been done before." (MTV)
Last week, Fab dropped his Leslie and Ne-Yo-assisted "You Be Killin' Em 2."
Fabolous' massacre continues. The Brooklyn rapper hit the studio with Ne-Yo and Ryan Leslie to record a soulful sequel to his There Is No Competition 2 mixtape hit "You Be Killin' 'Em" called "Look at Her (Killin' 'Em Part 2)." Get a taste of the new version from Fab's The S.O.U.L. Tape, due April 21, which serves as a prequel to his next studio album Loso's Way 2. (Rap-Up)
