B.o.B. Explains Tyler the Creator 'No Future' Motivation, "You Cannot Accept Competition & Still Be Competitive"

Bobby Ray credits his hunger to rap for motivating him to take Tyler's "Yonkers" jabs and respond in the booth.
"I remember when I made that, I was in my basement," the Grammy-nominated rapper told Sway. "I was like, 'You know what, man? I just wanna rap.' So I just threw together a beat and we just leaked it and put it out there...Listen, you cannot accept competition and still be competitive. It's when you lose, when you're on the losing end, that's when it gets serious and escalated. But I think it wasn't really anything that serious." (MTV)
Earlier in the week, B.o.B. said his "No Future" diss was less serious than perceived.
"I feel like some people perceived it as a shot but I feel like people love to hate," B.o.B. explained in an interview referring to Tyler the Creator's jab. "When he said the line, my fans weren't coming at me like, 'B.o.B., he's dissing you, he's dissing you!' Nobody was saying that. So I feel there's some things people can take it. You can take it and just make whatever you want out of it. But I don't harbor any negative emotions at all." (The Source)
