Nicki Minaj Won't Be Missing Diddy, Rapper Reportedly "Disappointed" W/ Management

Young Money's Nicki Minaj has reportedly parted ways with manager, rap mogul Diddy as due to problems with the services she received from the Bad Boy CEO.

According to reports, the self-proclaimed Barbie was upset with the lack of Diddy's  involvement with her burgeoning career.

A source close to Nicki Minaj has confirmed to XXLMag.com exclusively that the femcee has parted ways with Diddy and James Cruz, her managers since she left Debra Antney's firm, and is now being managed by Gee Roberson and Kyambo "Hip Hop" Joshua over at Hip-Hop Since 1978. HHS1978 also has Lil Wayne, Drake, Young Jeezy and Just Blaze on its roster. Although the reason for her departure isn't clear, another source tells XXL that Minaj was under the impression that Diddy would be more hands-on with her career, but was disappointed when she realized it wasn't the case. Apparently, according to the source, there are no hard feelings between Nicki Minaj, Diddy and Cruz. (XXL Mag)

Last October, Minaj addressed speculation claiming she was cutting her ties with Diddy and seeking new management.

Earlier today, there was a statement posted on the web, purporting to be Nicki Minaj's announcement that she had hired Benny Medina as her new manager. Not only that but the statement took the time to bash her current management team (Diddy, James Cruz and co.), and even refer longingly to her short-lived management arrangement with Troy Carter (Lady Gaga's manager). Well, seeing as how Nicki hasn't even spoken about Diddy managing her for the past 6 months, it would seem odd for her to just go public with this manifesto, right? Right. That's because the "statement" is a fake. Members of her inside circle confirm that it's inaccurate, and Nicki herself just tweeted: "lmao. i've never met benny medina a day in my life. we good on this side." (Miss Info TV)

The fabricated statement hit the Internet around mid-October.

"By now, everyone should now [sic] that I am really strict when it comes to my representation. I had sympathy for Sean however I feel as if I haven't gotten the guidance the manager is supposed to give his client. Personally, I feel like I'm being managed by mother. Even if you play the smallest role on my team, I wish to see progress. I'd like to thank him for everything he has done for me; for taking me under his wing. I wish him the best with repping Rick [Ross]. But now that my album is about to drop, its time to get serious and stop playing games. If I could turn back time...I wouldn't have made the decision to let Troy go." (Statement)

Last May, Diddy spoke highly of Minaj's greatness as an emcee.

And now, Nicki Minaj is finalizing the paperwork that will allow the Last Train to Paris superstar to guide her career. The Young Money femcee has already been in the studio with Diddy, and he's been singing her praises. "Nicki Minaj, she's definitely one of the great ones," Diddy told MTV News while promoting "Get Him to the Greek," speaking publicly for the first time about his new signee. "She has a long way to go, but you know how we recognized LeBron [James] was a great one, Tiger [Woods] was a great one, and Kobe [Bryant] was a great one? Nicki is up there.
