50 Cent's Manager On 'Before I Self Destruct' Follow-Up, "We're Rolling Out The Marketing Partners Now"

Rap star 50 Cent's manager Chris Lighty has provided fans with an update on the rapper's upcoming Before I Self Destruct album and said a concrete release date has not yet been made.
Although an exact date is unknown, Lighty believes 50's new LP will hit stores in the fall.
According to Chris Lighty, 50's almost finished with his fifth album, which is "sounding great." "We're rolling out the marketing partners and everything now," Chris Lighty told AllHipHop.com. "Once we put the stake in the ground on a date, we're gonna try and stick to it so we can use our marketing dollars around that date." According to Chris Lighty, 50 Cent's album Black Magic will hit stores this Fall. (All Hip Hop)
A few weeks ago, 50 upped the ante by aiming to make the album live up to his 2003 multi-platinum selling debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
"Iv been working I'm recording a lot for this album. I'm gonna keep recording cause I want to top get rich or die trying.," he tweeted May 29th.
"You can be mad cause you have to wait but you will be happy when it comes. I want it to be perfect." (50 Cent's Twitter)
Around late May, 50 appeared on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" to speak on his upcoming LP.
"I finished my new album now," he revealed to television talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. "I'm actually one song away from being done. I'm mixing the record. I'm excited...This summer [the fans] will have new music from me." (Rap-Up)
After promising to release the album's first single last month, 50 later had a change of heart.
"I tweeted something about the actual single," 50 explained in an interview. "While I'm out here, I gotta meeting and I gotta sit with Jimmy [Iovine], I gotta sit with the guys that push the button. I've done it by myself on my other albums because I've got my own radio staff, and I work the record, then get it to 500 hundred spins and then let them kick in. But I think it's better if I go with the entire building and have everybody on deck so they understand my plans for this project." (MTV)
