Cam'ron Plays The Lotto W/Vado, "I Want To Make Him Into A Mega, Mega Superstar"

Dipset leader Cam'ron recently spoke on his protege Vado's current buzz and why  he sees more flashing lights in the burgeoning star's future.

Cam envisions Vado releasing a stellar official debut album and upping his profile as time progresses.

"I appreciate everybody showing him love, and he's hot, but he hasn't even put an album out yet. I want to do three, four, five albums and come back and talk," Cam said in an interview. "I think it's still early. I'm happy he got his deal, I'm happy everybody's aware of him, I'm happy he's turned into a superstar, but I want to make him into a mega, mega superstar." (MTV)

In April, Vado shared his reaction to landing a recording deal with Interscope Records.

"I feel like Kobe [Bryant] when he first went to the Lakers," Vado told radio host Jenny Boom Boom. "You know he had the talent, you know he been good since he got to that level but now it's time to see what he can do on the mainstream. You know? ... Everybody is going to be satisfied. Trust me. It's going to be music for everyone. [What do I not want to do with my Interscope debut?] Not be [myself]. Anything you do, be yourself at it." (Jenny Boom Boom TV)

In March, Cam'ron formally announced Vado's Interscope Records home.

"He just signed a deal with Interscope," Cam told radio personality Angie Martinez on her Hot 97 radio show. "Shout to [Interscope CEO] Jimmy Iovine, DJ [DJ Mormile, senior VP of A&R at Interscope], what up, yo?! Big shout to DJ and Jimmy Iovine over there at Interscope. We appreciate that." (Hot 97)

A few months ago, Vado credited Harlem artists like Cam'ron for inspiring his career.

"For starters, I have to go with Big L because he was, in my eyes, the first one to get off on the hood. You know, he had a chance to take it far, but unfortunately, you know, rest in peace Big L. He's my number one...Definitely, I'd have to go with Cam for what he did for Harlem. You know, he was the only artist that made it out of Harlem and took a whole lot of people after him, that made them successful...Ma$e put the scope on Harlem, you know? When he first came out with [Diddy] and everything. He's one of the best that really went international with it and just had Harlem like Beverly Hills, somewhere that they wanted to come to."
