The Detroit, Michigan native elaborates on why his home state buddy didn't make his Def Jam debut.
Michigan natives Big Sean and Mike Posner have collaborated several times in the past, but the latter was noticeably absent from the G.O.O.D. Music rapper’s debut, Finally Famous. Speaking with Bootleg Kev,
Sean explained that the “Bow Chicka Wow Wow” singer was originally featured on “What Goes Around Comes Around” but was removed for unknown reasons.
“Mike Posner was originally on the song ‘What Goes Around Comes Around,’ and then something happened, I don’t know what happened,” he said. “But definitely, I’m gonna be on Mike Posner’s next album and he’s going to be on mine. The beauty of it all is that hey, we’re going to do more than one album.”
He also explained why the tracks produced by his mentor, Kanye West, didn’t make the final cut. “He did a couple tracks for me, we did a few, but sample clearance came into play. That was wack as hell. And then we wanted to save one,” he explained.
