Man Confesses Role In Notorious B.I.G. Murder Cover-Up

A convicted felon has revealed his involvement with The Notorious B.I.G.'s 1997 fatal shooting cover-up and discussed who ultimately may have ended Biggie Smalls' life.

According to inmate Clayton Hill, he concealed the alleged murder weapon.

Former Nation of Islam member, and currently incarcerated federal felon, Clayton Hill has confessed to his role as an accessory after the fact to the murder of The Notorious B.I.G. After first contacting HipHopDX on June 8th, Hill disclosed to DX that in October of 2010 he met with Assistant U.S. Attorney Nancy DePodesta and two agents with the F.B.I.'s Domestic Terrorism Unit and revealed that in May of 1997, while acting under orders as an official with Muhammad Mosque #15 in Atlanta, Georgia, he took possession of a semi-automatic handgun from a fellow N.O.I. member from Los Angeles, California who introduced himself as Dawoud Muhammad. Hill also claims Dawoud Muhammad confessed to killing B.I.G.

"[Dawoud Muhammad] stated to me that he was on the run for the murder [of The Notorious B.I.G.]," Hill wrote to HipHopDX via the CorrLinks email system for federal inmates. "He disclosed that he was the shooter of The Notorious B.I.G. because he (Dawoud) was a former Blood gang member and was paid to do so." (Hip Hop DX)

Last month, incarcerated felon Dexter Isaac confessed to shooting the late Tupac Shakur in 1994.

"I want to apologize to his family [Tupac Shakur] and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman]," Dexter Isaac told AllHipHop.com from prison. "I am trying to clean it up to give [Tupac and Biggie's] mothers some closure." Isaac said he was comfortable going on record relating to the robbery and shooting, since the statute of limitations had expired. Legally, no one can be prosecuted for the assault at this time. Isaac was a lifelong friend of Jimmy Henchman, who helped the former mogul set up his first company, Henchman Entertainment, in 1989. (All Hip Hop)

Earlier this year, the Notorious B.I.G. 1997 murder case received a new lead.

Eight years later in 2005, a civil trial brought by the Wallace family against the city of Los Angeles exposed evidence hidden by the LAPD that suggests two rogue police officers David Mack and Rafael Perez may have been involved in the murder of the rapper also known as "Biggie Smalls". According to a newly-revealed court record, Perez's cellmate told investigators "Perez and Mack were involved in Death Row Records. Perez got involved in Death Row through Mack.." "Perez was working security. Perez had a cell phone. Perez said he called over to Mack, David Mack on his cell phone. Perez told Mack that Biggie Smalls was in his truck. Perez never said that he set up Biggie Smalls but I have heard that he...had something to do with that murder," according to the inmate. (CBS News)
