Rick Ross Howls In Victory, Escapes Murdered Dog Case

Maybach Music Group's Rick Ross managed to escape a sticky legal situation this week involving a neighbor who claimed his pitbulls were responsible for killing her Yorkie.

Details of the legal victory landed online Thursday (July 21) afternoon.
Rick Ross just scored a victory against a woman who claims the rapper's pit bulls mauled her adorable pet Yorkie to death because a judge has DISMISSED her lawsuit ... at least for now. Banks' owner filed a lawsuit against Ross demanding more than $15k in damages and fees ... but today, a judge threw out the case ... saying Banks' owner failed to properly serve Ross with the suit. Rick's manager tells TMZ, "We tried to do good business ... we paid the vet bill ... but it was an unfortunate accident that [Banks' owner] tried to capitalize off of." Banks' owner tells TMZ ... she isn't giving up ... and vows to correct her mistake and eventually get justice for Banks. (TMZ)
According to the female dog owner, her pet endured severe injuries upon getting attacked last April.
The star was taken to court by the female owner of a Yorkshire Terrier named Banks, which died after Ross' three pets escaped from his Atlanta, Georgia home and reportedly set upon the three-year-old pooch. Banks allegedly suffered "three large bite wounds on his back" as well as a "very large bite wound" to his neck and had to be put to sleep because of the severe injuries. (Contact Music)
Last summer, Atlanta rapper Yung Joc also caught heat when his pit bulls allegedly attacked a neighbor's pet.
Atlanta rapper Yung Joc, also known as Jasiel Robinson, is apologizing after his two pit bulls attacked another dog in his Fayette County neighborhood. Robinson says he has always taken the proper precaution to make sure his dogs are safely contained, but they managed to escape after their electric collars and a gate at his home malfunctioned. The neighbor's dog is expected to be okay. Robinson says he will pay for the dog's medical expenses. He was cited for the incident. (11 Alive News)
Outside of legal battles, Rick Ross is currently putting together a new solo album.
"God Forgives, I Don't is a classic-in-the-making. Let me tell you something right now: This album is so crazy from the beginning of what I've been in the studio hearing already," Def Jam South President DJ Khaled said in an interview. "I can't give you too much because I'm going to let him do that, because that's his project, but I could tell you right now it's classic and he is talking that talk. God Forgives, I Don't, it fits the time because right now it's no rules. We don't see 'em; we going hard and that's what Ross is doin'." (MTV)
