TMZ 'Manipulated' Bow Wow's Baby's Mama, "They Practically Backed Me Into A Corner"

Joie Chavis, mother of Cash Money Records rapper Bow Wow's child, has come forward to speak out on TMZ running an exclusive story about intentionally excluding his name from their daughter's birth certificate.

According to the video vixen, the popular gossip site "manipulated" her words.
"I wasn't gonna address this because I'm tired of the drama but, I DID not take my daughter's birth certificate to TMZ, nor did I contact them for an interview. I was put in an uncomfortable spot. They practically backed me into a corner saying they were going to run a story anyway. I was asked a question, answered it truthfully and somehow my words were twisted and manipulated. I in no way wish to speak badly of my child's father and definitely would not leak my daughter's birth certificate which I myself don't even have in my own possession!" (Necole Bitchie)
Earlier this month, TMZ reported Bow Wow's absence from his daughter's delivery fueled Chavis' birth certificate decision.
Bow Wow's baby mama was so pissed that he was MIA during the birth of their baby, and the days that followed -- she 86'd him from the baby's birth certificate. Joie Chavis tells TMZ ... she was shocked that B.W. wasn't there for her when she went under the knife for an emergency C-section on April 27. And if Bow Wow's excuse was squeamishness, it didn't explain his absence in the days that followed. He finally showed up on the 6th day of the baby's life, to take them home. Pissed as she was, Joie tells us Bow Wow has turned it around and now is all about baby Shai. Joie says she's now willing to let bygones be bygones and put Bow Wow on the document, but it's going to take a judge to make that happen. (TMZ)
Chavis recently talked about Bow Wow taking on fatherhood.
"He's getting all these props as dad of the year, I just hope he does the work, in fact, I pray he becomes an example to all young fathers. I was happy to hear his statements, I just pray he lives up to it." (Global Grind)
The rapper's Cash Money Records labelmate, Glasses Malone, recently gave SOHH his reaction to the news.
"He's been in this business forever and n*ggas be wanting to hurt themselves over this business," Glasses told SOHH. "I know dudes who have become full drug addicts and alcoholics because of this business. That sh*t is probably going to help him because like I said, his life has always been in the industry and this may have given him something even more for him to live for. Sometimes people don't know the value of families and I think a dude like that, this is going to help him and he's going to treat the baby right." (SOHH)
