Young Jeezy Runs Into Police Melee In Atlanta

Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy ran into law enforcement a few days ago after his flashy Ferrari caught the attention of hometown police for committing a traffic violation.
Details of Jeezy's brief run-in with Atlanta cops landed online this week.
When you roll around town in a $192k car ... people notice -- especially POLICE who claim rapper Young Jeezy failed to signal while changing lanes in ATL this weekend. TMZ obtained photos of Jeezy talking with Atlanta police officers around 8:00 PM Sunday evening ... after cops pulled over the rapper's super-customized 2011 Ferrari California. We're told 3 officers in 2 squad cars handled the situation -- and Jeezy was eventually allowed to drive off after receiving his ticket. Jeezy's citation will cost him somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 ... but based on his ride, we're guessing he can afford it. We called Jeezy's reps for comment -- so far, no response. (TMZ)
Last winter, Jeezy made headlines for allegedly getting arrested in the Bahamas.
One of the concert's promoters Jason Cartwright confirmed on his Facebook page that the hip-hop star had been arrested early Saturday, but was later released. "People tried to shut us down, yea' Jeezy was locked up, he out now (about) to beat the stage bad tonight," Mr Cartwright wrote Saturday morning. A well-placed source told The Tribune that the rapper was taken into the Fox Hill area by friends and was simply "in the wrong place at the wrong time" when he was taken into custody. (The Tribune)
However, Jeezy's camp later came forward and denied the accusations.
Young Jeezy's manager, Demetrius Ellerbee, has denied a report that the rapper was arrested in the Bahamas on Saturday. "It's not true," Ellerbee told MTV News. According to Bahamian newspaper The Tribune, Jeezy was on his way to a show in an area of the island called New Providence when he was arrested by local officials. While the reason for his arrest was not specified, the paper says the rapper wasn't held for very long. (MTV)
Outside of legal woes, Jeezy recently announced the release date of his upcoming Thug Motivation 103 album.
Taking the stage at Highline Ballroom, Jeezy revealed that his oft-delayed fourth LP will drop this fall. "My ni**a Kinky B. just told me that TM103 will be in stores September 20. Goodnight, I love ya'll!" he told the crowd at the end of his 75-minute set, which featured appearances from Jay-Z, Kanye West, Fabolous, The Lox, and Bun B. (Rap-Up)
