Young Money's Drake followed through with recent reports claiming he would appear on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend by showing off some acting skills and performing alongside rap star Nicki Minaj last night (October 15).
On the live sketch comedy show, Drizzy appeared in multiple sets.

In the first of his comedy bits, the Young Money rapper appeared in one of SNL cast member Andy Samberg's "digital shorts," playing himself in a series of bizarre celebrity interviews. There was "An Extremely Brief Interview With Drake," "An Extremely Close Interview With Drake" and "An Extremely Sarcastic Interview With Drake," in which Samberg used scare quotes when referring to his guest as a "musician." Appearing later on the show's 'Weekend Update' segment, Drake and cast member Jay Pharoah portrayed knucklehead teenagers dressed as werewolves. Fond of stealing candy from kids on Halloween, the two performed a rap song celebrating "bag jacking," their thuggish hobby. "Watch out, because like Republicans, I'm behind the bushes," Pharoah rapped, dropping one of the funnier lines. "I would trick or treat, but I'm too old now, so I snatch your bag so I don't look like a pedophile," Drake added later. (The Boom Box)Drake also brought along his Young Money sidekick Nicki Minaj to perform during the show.
Drake made his highly anticipated SNL debut earlier tonight. The NBC show, which was hosted by Anna Faris, saw the Toronto emcee perform "Headlines" and "Make Me Proud" with Nicki Minaj guesting. Both tracks happen to be from the rapper's forthcoming sophomore effort Take Care. (The NJ Underground)In January, Minaj took her talents to "SNL" by performing in a few sketches.
Hide your kids, hide your wife, hide your husband. Nicki Minaj is on the "Creep!" The hip-hop hottie joins comedy trio The Lonely Island in an "SNL Digital Short." Nicki plays a geeky school girl named Point Dexter, who stalks the boys locker room to get a peek of the fellas, later showing up at a wake. "So get your knees flexin' and your arms T-Rexin' and creep," commands Nicki on the track, which is now available on iTunes. Follow her lead. (Rap-Up)Last winter, Lil Wayne and Eminem performed together on the popular comedy show.
As Saturday Night Live guest spots go, it doesn't get much more ferocious than this: Lil Wayne and Eminem teamed up last night to make sure SNL ended 2010 with a bang for the last new episode before the new year. Not only did this high-wattage duo expertly perform "No Love", their 90's-dance-sampling collaboration from Em's Recovery, but each of the rap megastars also got a chance to wow us solo. (Idolator)
