LMFAO Rapper's Honduras Show Ends In Fire, Venue Goes Up In Smoke

LMFAO's Redfoo had to end a deejay set in Honduras prematurely this week after a fire reportedly erupted causing smoke to fill up the venue.

Police suspect the fire may have been maliciouly started by an unknown party.
LMFAO was forced to stop their concert early in Honduras last night -- when a fire burned through the concert venue ... but cops believe the blaze was no accident. According to local news reports, the fire broke out at the Coliseo Nacional de Ingenieros ... towards the end of the LMFAO concert. The group reportedly ended their show after smoke began to fill the arena. According to the reports, no one was killed in the blaze -- but at least 15 people were treated for smoke inhalation. Cops told local media ... they suspect a "criminal hand" set fire to the electrical system. It's unclear if any arrests have been made. (TMZ)
Immediately following the fire incident, Redfoo tweeted his reaction.
"Epic concert tonight!!!! Everybody in Honduras, we set the place on fire!!!! #sorryforpartyrocking ...yeah baby," he tweeted December 29th. (Redfoo's Twitter)
He later opened up on what went down during Wednesday's performance.
Through LMFAO's label, Interscope, Redfoo gave this account to MTV News: "All of a sudden, right in the middle of 'Beatockin,' my manager Ian Fletcher shouted, 'There's a fire under the stage. We have to go!" "I didn't want to go!" he continued. "I didn't realize how serious it was. The security escorted us out the venue. We were forced to leave a few items behind, nothing irreplaceable. "I hope everybody is safe," he added. "Honduras fans are true party rockers! This will go down in history as one [of the] craziest Redfoo DJ sets ever." (MTV)
Outside of the fire buzz, LMFAO's latest album continues to fly off retail shelves.
Rap duo LMFAO's Sorry for Party Rocking made a five-slot jump to No. 16 with 74,000. After 27 weeks, their newest offering stands at 475,000 sold records. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
