Beyonce's Birth Rumors Get Hushed

Fans anxiously awaiting Beyonce Knowles-Carter's special delivery will have to wait a little longer as new reports claim the Grammy-winning singer has not yet given birth.

Despite gossip circulating online, the superstar is still with child.
A parody Twitter account under the name "@CNNBreaking" -- with more than 17,000 followers -- is reporting that Beyonce had her baby -- and Twitter followers are retweeting the false tweet like crazy. But, RumorFix can tell you, the rumors are not true- Beyonce and Jay-Z aren't parents yet. (Of course, that could change at any minute). The pop star was scheduled to perform live on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, but host Ryan Seacrest said, "Obviously, Beyoncé couldn't be here tonight because she's about to give birth to her first child." The ABC special did air a pre-recorded performace of "I Was Here" that Beyonce taped in London. (RumorFix)
Beyonce and father-to-be Jay-Z were spotted dining in Brooklyn over the weekend.
As we've noted in the past, Beyoncé--and by extension, her husband Jay-Z--have immaculate restaurant taste. So it's really no surprise that on our way out the door from celebrating New Year's at one of our favorite Brooklyn restaurants, Buttermilk Channel, that we heard whispers that the couple was on their way. D*mn, really? And sure enough, we soon could confirm that Jay, B and unborn child were seated in a cozy table in the back. So, no, she did not check into the hospital to have her baby. A few days ago, reports emerged claiming she went in labor at a New York hospital.
Earlier this week, rumors about the impending due date for the superstar spawn started circulating the Internet, with some reports that the baby had already been born. Other sites pointed to New York's St. Luke's Roosevelt hospital, where staffers were reportedly readying the facility's labor and delivery suite for a "celebrity VIP." (New York Daily News)
Prior to New Year's Day, Bey talked about keeping her husband grounded for the holidays.
Mom-to-be Beyonce is laying down the law this holiday by forbidding family members from turning on the television. The singer, who is expecting her first child with rapper husband Jay-Z, wants to enjoy quality time with her relatives, without any interruptions. She tells Britain's New! magazine, "I will be with family. Jay-Z and I are both so busy throughout the year that Christmas is just a time to relax with the family and count the many blessings in your life. Christmas Day is a no-TV zone. We just like to sit and talk together as a family." (WTVQ)
