So a couple months back I was invited to go see an artist by the name of M-City Jr perform at the New Force for his Album release party. Let me tell you dude had a lot of people show up to the event, and th females came through too haha. City is a real cool dude. He showed us the love after I broke my camera to come through still and use his to shoot. I saw a lot of people I went to school with, didnt even know they was down with hip-hop like this. City has a presence about him that commands attention, money and women. He is also one of the most level headed people I've met when it comes down to business. He doesnt bullshit at all. While at the release he was the closing act of course performing My Polo and rocked the house that the power went out! Now that's some boss shit. I've listened to his mixtape and it's def amazing. My favorite track is Celebrate Wat???. I wanna thank M-City For allowing #AliusMagazine to come through and shoot some photos and enjoy some good ass JOY RD Detroit Music! Why did you wanna get into the rap game?
i got into rap from a whack ass writing assignment in second grade, we
had to write a song or poem about the pilgrims lol they didn't call it
rap back then, it was either a song or a poem :-)


How did you get your rap name?
My rap name came from a lyric of mine. I referred myself once as Motor
City Junior in a rap called "Where I Be". My cousin Nabz heard it and
went crazy like "damn cuz thats cold" !!! So i shortened it to "M-City
J.r." its M-City J.r. !!!!


What category is your music? Mann idk, i call it Narrations. I just narrate my real life.

What does it sound like? it sounds like some good ass shit if you actually take a listen lol


What does your music mean? i mean different songs have different meanings. It really means i can
let you know you're not the only one going through the struggles of
love, life and success. We all do, i just tell u my side and hope u
can relate.


How do you plan on breaking through into mainstream or do you plan to at all? Mann eating good independent is a WONDERFUL feeling, everyone wants to
make the best out of their situation. Im jus grinding and building
something that cant be taken. And thats a legion of supporters and
believers who will appreciate what i do and allow me to support my
family off that.


Who do you wanna work with the most in detroit and outside? Prolly Dusty, he's about the only one i fully enjoy hearing. Ill BLAST
B&B all day fucking long with no problem. He's the best representation
of a D boi i think. Of course after me LMAO


What music do you have playing when driving through the city? Umm #Buffies&Benihanas, i just told u that lol

Favorite Kicks? SB's ALL DAY LONG !!! Them new adidas hot as hell too tho, i gotta
pair of them as well.


What other ventures are you working on? the Yacht Club Social Network is really my main focus. #YCSN is
actually a clothing line; one ive been working really hard on. Im
actually in Chicago now preparing for the Summer launch next month.
#YCSN will be dropping in Chicago b4 it drops in Detroit, aint that
some shit haha.


What are your goals in life? To be a support system and build an economy. I want to create jobs and
sustain households. That figure you know is there to help you achieve
a better life.


What does Detroit mean or stand for in your eyes? a bunch of BULLSHIT !!! i LOVE my city to death but its filled with a
bunch of Copy Cats and *slurps Dicksuckers who cant think for
themselves. When we start focusing on education and achieving a higher
standard of living instead of worrying about when the bag coming in
and who we can sell it to, thats when Detroit will be really worth
something. Thats where i plan to take it.


What is the rap game missing the most right now? Uhh ME !!! WTF lmao its M-City J.r. !!!!


Where do you plan on being in the next 5 years? In some pussy from a bitch with a name i cant pronounce... Ahhh goals.
LMAO But seriously, in five years ill be 25, i want to be moving at
FULL SPEED in accomplishing my goals, by then i want the road to be
paved and im just an excited, motivated soul driving my Lambo down it.
