Joe Budden's NYC Arrest Over $75 Ticket, Says Rep

After Slaughterhouse's Joe Budden said his New York City arrest earlier this week was in relation to a parking violation, a rep has come forward and revealed the fine was for less than $100.

According to reports, Budden's rep said he was arrested for a $75 fine.

Rapper Joe Budden -- the guy behind the 2003 hit "Pump It Up" -- was arrested just hours before a concert in NYC yesterday ... and according to Budden ... it was all over a $75 parking ticket. A rep for Budden tells TMZ ... cops showed up at a pre-concert meet-and-greet and informed Joe about a warrant out for his arrest due to an unpaid traffic ticket. Budden's rep says ... the original fine was only $75 ... but cops still decided to arrest Joe and took him back to the station where he was booked and processed. According to the rep, Budden has since been released from jail and insists Joe has "handled the matter." (TMZ)

Budden also stepped up to explain his Thursday (March 29) night Slaughterhouse concert no-show.

"I'm pretty cut and dry about," he explained. "It was an unpaid ticket, bench warrant; and when there's a bench warrant they catch you when they can catch you. And it just so happens we had a sold out show at Best Buy Theater, and that's where they decided to catch me...I always perform in New York. The bottom line of it is if I would have known about the situation it would have been cleared up, but I didn't. It had never popped up before and I had gone through the system a few times." Details of the arrest landed online late Thursday evening.

There was a packed house at New York City's Best Buy Theatre, but when Slaughterhouse took the stage on Thursday night there was a notable vacancy. Two songs into Slaughterhouse's set the quartet revealed that Jersey City rapper Joe Budden wouldn't take part in the night's festivities because he was arrested for a warrant stemming from a 2007 traffic violation. Just a few minutes after 10 p.m. Joell Ortiz opened the show when he took the stage reciting his verse to the group's fan-favorite "The Illest." Long Beach, California MC Crooked I followed, but there was a visible absence. The DJ cued up "Sound Off" next and Royce da 5'9" marched out spewing his patented Detroit venom, but with three quarters of the Slaughterhouse machine on stage, Joe Budden's absence was glaring. It was then that Slaughterhouse announced their outspoken bandmate had been arrested by the NYPD. (RapFix)

Slated to perform at New York's Best Buy Theatre, which was opened by Par-City and DJ O. Minaya, Budden's fans made sure to let Slaughterhouse know he was missed.

In full support, the crowd began to shout "Joey, Joey, Joey," without any prompting from Joell, Crook or Nickel Nine. The group then went into a portion of their infamous 2011 B.E.T. Hip-Hop Award Show cypher. Joell spit his verse and then went into his solo underground gem "Hip-Hop." Budden was missed, but the now-three-headed lyrical Shady Records monster carried on. There was no "Pump It Up" or Mood Muzik verses, but Budden's band of brothers still repped performing their solo hits as well as posse cuts like "Microphone" and "Hammer Dance." That didn't stop the crowd from chanting for Joe Budden. "We love Joey too, chanting for him ain't gonna get him outta jail," Royce responded. (RapFix)
