Rick Ross Pulled Over By Boat Police, "He Threw The Dope Overboard When He Noticed The Officers"

Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross is making weekend headlines with reports claiming his yacht was raided by police for drugs a few days ago.

According to reports, Ricky Rozay's boat was raided last Thursday (April 19).

Cops in Florida were thiiiiiiis close to making a drug bust on Rick Ross' yacht ... if not for a quick-thinking cohort who ditched the evidence at the last minute ... this according to law enforcement. A rep for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (yes, they can arrest you) tells us officers flagged down Rick's boat on Thursday after noticing the odor of weed. We're told cops boarded the water vessel and conducted a search ... but found nothing. (TMZ)

Prior to the search taking place, one passenger reportedly tossed the drugs overboard.

Now get this ... cops tell us one of Rick's homies ADMITTED to smoking weed onboard the ship ... but claimed he threw the dope overboard when he noticed the officers. The plan WORKED -- a rep for the FWCC says because the officers didn't find any marijuana on board, no arrests were made ... and no further investigation will be conducted. The lesson -- see a cop, ditch your weed in the ocean. (TMZ)

Last month, Ross was arrested on a marijuana charge in Louisiana.

Police arrested two celebrities this weekend in Downtown Shreveport. KSLA News 12 has learned that the rapper known as "Rick Ross" was arrested in Shreveport Friday night for possession of marijuana. His real name is William Leonard Roberts II. According to the police records, a strong odor of marijuana was detected from his room at the Hilton in Downtown Shreveport. No word at this hour of how much marijuana police found. Shreveport police also arrested Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Peters. He's from Queen City, Texas and played college football at the University of Arkansas. (KSLA)

Outside of legal affairs, the MMG boss recently discussed his upcoming solo album.

"God Forgives, I Don't. First and foremost, the title, I wanted to approach it like let's say Scorsese would have approached a film. I wanted it to be a bold statement, a dark statement, and have music to tell that story behind it," Ross explained in an interview. "So it felt like a film or a motion picture when you listening to it. That's the type of detail I really put into it. ... It's just like when I fulfill one of my dreams and start directing film one day, I'm going to bite Scorsese angles. I'm going to use the Scorcese lens.
