50 Cent Ready To Turn Verbal Jabs Into Full-Fledged Knockouts, Says Floyd Mayweather Jr.

G-Unit leader 50 Cent may be upgrading his heavy-hitting records to the next level by trying his hand at some serious boxing promotion.

According to undefeated professional boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., Fif will be heavily involved with the physical sport in the near future.
We all know 50 Cent isn't afraid to throw verbal jabs at other rappers, but is he ready to throw hands in the ring? Maybe. During a media conference call earlier today (April 25), Floyd Mayweather Jr. said Fif will "begin getting involved in boxing promotion." Money also said that 50 may even begin boxing and could fight on a pay-per-view card. (Complex)
No stranger to the ring, 50 has reportedly knocked out time as a boxer in his younger days.
Mayweather was speaking with the media to promote his fight with Miguel Cotto on May 5 and said 50 Cent will escort him into the ring for the bout. That's when he explained that 50 will be getting more involved in boxing. As Golden Boy Promotions mentioned in their tweet that quoted Mayweather, 50 began boxing around the age of 11. The rapper even competed in the Junior Olympics as an amateur fighter. Though he hasn't fought professionally, 50 Cent has many interests beyond the music industry. He is an actor, he has a clothing line, and he's involved in several other ventures. Given his business acumen, and relationship with Floyd Mayweather, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him have plenty of success in the fight game. (Larry Brown Sports)
The platinum-selling rapper is known for his close bond with Mayweather, most notably seen at this year's Super Bowl XLVI festivities.
The WBC welterweight champion was repeatedly driven on a loop through the heart of the city, along with 50 Cent and members of his entourage, in a large bus decked out with Mayweather body paint and depicting his image and Twitter handle. It was when the bus stopped for Mayweather to lean through an open window and interact with fans that things began to get chaotic, with the oversize vehicle blocking traffic and generating extra headaches for the police. By the time ThePostGame.com arrived on the scene, the bus was at the corner of Main and Meridian, right in the center of the city. 50 Cent also engaged with fans and signed a handful of autographs. Outside of the boxing talk, Fif recently announced plans to drop a new album this summer.
"My album is coming out july 2. I got some heat trust me I'm ready," Fif tweeted March 20th.
"My birthdays july 6 so that's a cool date for ME. Its gonna be july2 album, july4 independence day, then july6 my birthday." (50 Cent's Twitter
