Drake On 2 Chainz Killing The Competition, "It's Great To See Him At The Top Of His Game Right Now"

Young Money star Drake recently opened up on his respect for Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz, specifically focusing on how much of a chokehold he has on hip-hop in right now.

Drizzy credits Chainz's hardworking grind for helping win over fans as of late.
"Like I say in the song, 'Me and Chainz go way back,' that's no lie," Drake said in an interview referring to their "No Lie" collaboration. "I spent a lot of my early days with Young Money on the road with 2 Chainz. We definitely built a rapport. It's great to see him at the top of his game right now. The world loves him and it's well deserved. He's a hardworking guy." (MTV)
G-Unit's 50 Cent recently showered Chainz with a flurry of co-signs.
"[Potentially hot artists?] Definitely 2 Chainz 'cause he's been around. He's one of them guys that's finally having a moment. I remember when he was in Playaz Circle. I know it's been years and years of work. And the kid Future. He's got some hits under his belt that ain't under his name, like that 'Racks' joint. I watch. It may seem like I'm doing business in different areas and doing different things, but my passion for music hasn't changed." (Shade 45)
In November, the Atlanta rapper received props from Grammy-winning rhyme spitter and Grand Hustle front man, T.I.
"I like Big Sean, yeah," Tip told DJ Skee in an interview. "I think it's going to be interesting to see and hear what artists like 2 Chainz and Future [make musically] and what they do. It's going to be interesting to see what they do. I like, the records I've heard, I've liked. I liked them. So now I just gotta pay attention and see where they go from here. ... Watch the Throne. I love the Watch the Throne album." (Skee TV)
With a burgeoning resume, Chainz recently discussed getting support from rap star Kanye West.
"I feel like Kanye is the best producer in the world," the rapper said. "The way that he sees things is just different from anyone else, so it's just an honor to be in the studio with him at the same time and just kinda clashing worlds. My resume is filled with street credibility music, trap rap, and he kind of brings color and images to what I'm doing, so he'll definitely be a part of my project." ("106 & Park")
