Ludacris Tries On 2 Chainz For 'Ludaversal' A&R, "Me & Luda Are Definitely Two Different Artists"

Former Disturbin' Tha Peace artist 2 Chainz recently updated fans on his status with Ludacris, revealing he is currently on board to A&R the Grammy-winning rapper's upcoming Ludaversal solo album.
While limited with details, Chainz hinted at what fans could expect from Luda's forthcoming effort.
"My job is to give him beats from my perspective, from where I come from," he told CBS Local. "I have a long history of club shows and rocking out and he's a more venue artist. So I'm just trying to give him some looks from my eyes and perspective." While 2 Chainz said he couldn't explain what world view Ludaversal will finally express, he explained his approach to the project. "I'm just submitting beats from my eyes, different from what Luda usually does, that's why he hired me," he said. "Me and Luda are definitely two different artists. So, it will be different. I do a lot of clubs. So I'm just submitting 2 Chainz s***. Different things I think he would need or doesn't f*** with." (CBS Local)
If all goes accordingly, the LP will hit store shelves on Luda's 35th birthday.
Last week, we posted some exclusive pictures from Ludacris' recent studio sessions with Soul legend Anita Baker, Chris Brown, Jim Jonsin and more. Today, HHNM can exclusively reveal that his 8th studio album, Ludaversal will release on his birthday, September 11th, 2012. We are told that this album will surprise a lot of critics and please his core audience to the fullest. (Hip Hop N More)
Production duo Da Internz recently hinted at what fans should anticipate from the record.
"This Ludaversal album is a statement," said Tuo, while Kosine added, "This album is crazy. We're just happy to have a bunch of joints on there. We got a record that I think Chicago's gonna be real happy when they hear it 'cause it's like the Chicago sound, a little bit of that juke thang. And then of course we got some of that hood, that "A$$" bass that you love. Da Internz swag is definitely on there." (Rap-Up)
Last year, Luda said he intended the album to drop before 2012.
Ludacris is prepping his eighth studio album, 'Ludaversal,' for a late 2011 release. During a visit to 102.7 KIIS FM's Ryan Seacrest morning show on Tuesday (March 29), the Atlanta rapper confirmed that fans could expect a follow up to 2010's 'Battle of the Sexes' later this year. "I'm just getting started on it, so hopefully by the end of this year," Luda explained. The anticipated album will include production from the Neptunes. Besides the beatmaking duo of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, the 'My Chick Bad' performer declined to reveal more details. (The Boom Box
