Waka Flocka Flame Addresses Wiz Khalifa Rift, "I Voiced My Opinion Because It's True & It's Facts"

Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame has stood by remarks he recently made about Wiz Khalifa and pointed out the "Black & Yellow" hitmaker's change in content since becoming a hip-hop star.

Claiming there are no real issues between them, Flocka said his opinion was purely based off Khalifa's music changing in light of achieving success.
"I don't know, that's deaded, it's deaded, I ain't bothering nobody," Flocka told radio host Angie Martinez. "I voiced my opinion because it's true and it's facts. I ain't bothering nobody, whatchu mean? I don't know. I don't know what's going on -- that's like me rapping gangster, I get on top and I start rapping about cookies and cream and lollipops. Whatchu gonna call me? Nice guy or a sucker? Aight then. I got this album about to drop, June 12th. That's a nice guy, he makes good music. I got cousins like his music. Eh, that's it. We're two nice guys with good music. I'm always nice." (Hot 97)
Last January, West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg said he would put an end to their rift.
"I'ma holla at Waka Flocka," Snoop said sitting next to Wiz. "That's where big Uncle Snoop come in at, 'cause we ain't about that negativity and none of that beef. We too old for that. I'ma snatch him up by the collar and say, 'Look here, partna. You got somethin' to say to Wiz, get at him personally.' We peaceful. We on nothing but peace right now. This is my guy right here -- I love Wiz 'cause he got the right spirit that hip-hop needs. Too much negativity in the industry that always overwhelms his kind of spirit, and I'm here to let people know that this is the right kind of spirit." ("Big Boy's Neighborhood")
A month prior, Waka Flocka named Wiz as a rapper suffering from not having swag.
"Yo [Kay] Slay, how you feel about these rap n*ggas with all that hype man," Waka Flocka asked in an interview. "They ain't got no swag when they really, they hyped their way to the top. [I'm behaving myself lately.] Me too. I ain't even gonna lie. I ain't even gonna lie, right. ... I feel like they don't respect nothing but the real. You gotta. Wiz. Wiz. [laughs]" (Street Heat TV)
Last summer, Khalifa addressed speculation suggesting they got into a verbal altercation at the annual Hot 97 Summer Jam concert.
"Yeah, nothing happened backstage," Khalifa said. "It's always something; making up some rumor about something happening with me backstage during somebody's set, but nothing happened. Me and Waka and are cool. That's just people trying to promote negativity." (MTV)
