@KidTef BLACKFEMALEJESUSDEVILVAMPEER by Kid Tef

Thedetroitzuu : what does this painting mean or represent?

Kid Tef : Basically it's the ying and yang theory. To me good and evil represents the balance in life in which you can learn from both. You have to go through hell to get to heaven. You can't win for losing. You don't truly know what it is to win unless you have loss. Lucifer was an angel at one point in time meaning that god created this being for a reason.

Thedetroitzuu : Thats very deep. I also see that it looks like a black Jesus is being depicted?

Kid Tef : yea it's definitely a black Jesus devil. But at the same time it's the Mona Lisa as a man. The people being impaled in the back represent the depths that society will go for in the name of religion.

Thedetroitzuu : what exactly is your religion ?

Kid Tef : I dont have a religion exactly . I believe in god and I believe that Jesus represented an important positive figure for religion and the world.

Thedetroitzuu : So as a song writer what role do you think being an actual artist or painter plays in the hip hop game ?

Kid Tef : Well it's difficult to say. I mean a lot of painters are not truly appreciated until they die whether you rap or paint or anything. To me I just like to express my feelings, I believe with art you actually see what I want you to see. Rather then you depict it yourself from music.This particular piece of art pisses off a lot of people. Thats why I like it. If it doesn't drive people then it doesn't project a message. When I was working I pinned this up on my desk and it mysteriously came up missing two or three days later.

Thedetroitzuu : So sort of like nwa but from a painters aspect...dope. How do you deal with the critisms that come along with such controversial ideals or thought patterns .

Kid Tef : I never really cared about what the general public thought I just do what I feel in my heart is dope and real. To an extent that could make or break you in any type of consumer industry. Deep down in a lot of people's hearts they can relate to this piece whether they love them fact that they love it or they hate the fact that it speaks the truth to their hearts but goes against everything they were programmed to believe.
Thedetroitzuu : So being black and raised in the inner city how do you retort to people or "Black People" who feel that this is blamphemous and absurd.

Kid Tef : Im glad you asked that... to me our greatest fault as a culture is that we dont care to explore or learn about our history. Thats being said for hiphop also because I see alot of the younger generation bad mouthing Pac and Big without knowing the historical significance to hip hop. I mean when you think about it or actually do some reading then you would know that when we were in africa before slavery we were worshipping Allah and on top of that in the actual bible it says that Jesus' hair was like wool and that he was of middle eastern decent. Well why is it that every picture you see is a blonde blue eyed jesus? To me its a subliminal thiing and thus you have white and black jesus or a religion and that seems to say one thing but do the other. Sort of like when someone says "Support the troops...its the christian thing to do". Well to me thats very ironic lol!!!!

Thedetroitzuu : Is there anything you would like to say in closing?

Kid Tef : Yes . I want to let everyone know that this is a depiction of art and nothing more but my personal view point
