"lmfaooooooooo this site got me die'n over here with the stories they tell!!! smh lol" (Teyana Taylor's Twitter)
Reports of the two artists becoming more than friends hit the Internet early Monday.
Kanye West is now hooking up with Teyana Taylor reports MediaTakeOut. The site claims the rapper is head over heels for Taylor and her smoking bod. "Kanye was intrigued by her innocence, and her body," an insider tells the site, adding, "[Teyana] must have put it on him, all [Kanye] talks about is her ... he even signed her to a deal and is featuring her on his new album with Jay-Z." We thought this rumor smelled fishy because - when is MTO ever correct about a dating story? Anyway, it looks like our suspicion was well placed. (RumorFix)

BET/Hot 97's DJ Megatron Killed In NY

New York's Hot 97 radio host Corey "DJ Megatron" McGriff was reportedly fatally killed over the weekend outside of his Staten Island home.

Detail of the shooting landed online hours after the shooting took place.

DJ Megatron, a popular hip-hop radio personality who frequently appeared on BET's106 & Park television program, was shot and killed early this morning near his home in Staten Island, according to the Associated Press. Police said the 32-year old deejay, born Corey McGriff, was found dead around 2 a.m. with a gunshot wound to his chest. No arrests have been made. (Entertainment Weekly)
Megatron's manager also confirmed the fatal incident occurred.
His manager Regg Rocc released this statement to E! News: "Mega's family is grateful for all of the condolences and warm thoughts of his fans and friends. Please continue to uplift your prayers of support as an ongoing investigation is currently being conducted by law enforcement officials." (E! Online)
His mother also addressed the shooting.
As NYPD detectives combed the scene of the whodunit, DJ Megatron's family reeled from their sudden loss. "It is just earth-shattering," his mother, Louvenia McGriff, 60, told the Daily News by telephone from her Georgia home. "Words can't describe the way my husband and I feel right now. I just don't know how we're going to make it without him. He was our golden child." (New York Daily News)
In addition to working at Hot 97, Megatron was also an on-air BET personality.
Corey McGriff, who went by the name DJ Megatron and appeared on BET and performed in city clubs, was pronounced dead at the scene a little after 2 a.m. "It looks like he was just walking alone and became a victim," a police source said. Snoop Dogg Records With Charlie Sheen And Filter's Rob Patterson

Over the weekend, Charlie Sheen posted a picture from a recording session with Snoop Dogg for one of the year's oddest collaborations.

Actor Charlie Sheen has been dominating headlines since falling out with the producers of his hit show “Two And A Half Men” in February. After a series of interviews featuring his live-in girlfriends Natalie Kenly and former adult actress Bree Olson spawned phrases such as “winning” and “tiger blood,” Sheen is cashing in on his viral popularity by recording with Snoop Dogg.

Sheen announced a collaboration of some sorts Friday via Twitter. The message featured Sheen, former Korn turned Filter guitarist Rob Patterson and Snoop Dogg in the studio together. It’s unclear when or how the music their recording session produced will be released, as Sheen is preparing for the April 14 debut of his “Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option” tour. Snoop also worked with members of Korn while appearing in the group’s “Twisted Transistor” video. As odd collaborations go, Snoop’s work with Sheen and Patterson probably ranks somewhere between his 2003 appearance on Limp Bizkit’s “Red Light, Green Light” and the 2008 song “My Medicine,” which featured Willie Nelson.

Curren$y Talks Warner Bros Deal, Upcoming Movie

Curren$y talked to Complex about his Warner Brothers record deal and upcoming movie project.
Complex recently caught up with one of Hip Hop's biggest budding stars Curren$y to discuss his numerous upcoming projects, including his Covert Coupe EP with the Alchemist and his fifth album Muscle Car Chronicles, due out May 5. During the interview, Curren$y discussed his record deal with Warner Brothers. He said that while he was at first hesitant to sign with a major label, he is confident in Warners's vision for his music.
"They reached out just based on what I had been doing independently," said Spitta. "I think I proved to a few companies that I was going to be a machine regardless, whether I aligned myself with a machine or not, I was going to become a machine. The companies that did step to the table, I never thought I’d be able to maintain my independence and my underground soul of how I do my shit. Just talking to Warner Brothers, they let me know they only wanted to deal with me based on what I had already done. So they would only want me to keep doing that."

Curren$y also spoke about his relationship with his current label BlueRoc's CEO Damon Dash. Although he said that Dame wasn't involved in securing his latest contract, the two are still on good terms.
"[Dame Dash wasn’t involved with this deal], but that’s my homie," he said. "We got dealings on this Muscle Car Chronicles, but as far as the Warner deal, that was all me and my manager’s doing. But BlueRoc’s success is not contingent on if I’m still there. Nothing happens to my old label. They’re fine, they doing what they doing."

Spitta also spoke about his foray into film with his upcoming flick Muscle Car Chronicles. Inspired by his impending album of the same name, the film follows the story of a home burglarizing birthday clown on the road to musical stardom. Although Curren$y made his film debut in 2005 with Master P's Still Bout It, he says working on this latest project was a new experience.

"We also got the movie, Muscle Car Chronicles," he explained. "It’s a short film, the playing time might be a little over 30 minutes. Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozah [of Channel Zero]—they shot a version of ‘Jesus Walks’ with Kanye and they’re partners with Dame on Creative Control—they directed and wrote the movie. [They heard the album] and just started scribbling the script. They had the movie [planned out], so when I got there they were like, ‘Let’s do this. We could pull it off in three days.’ So once they told me it would only take three days, I was like fuck it. Let’s see if we can do it.

"The movie is a cornucopia of cinematography inspired by Muscle Car Chronicles. In the movie, my name is Melvin and it’s me and this chick driving around in a Winnebago and dressing up as birthday clowns. We come to kid’s houses and do one-two steps with the balloons and shit, but we also burglarize the homes. But that money is to fund my musical takeover. I was in some Master P movies before. I was in Still Bout It counting money and talking like a gangster. But I’m still new to movies."

West Coast rap veteran Snoop Dogg expressed his sorrow over hip-hop artist Nate Dogg's passing earlier this month by tattooing his late 213 rap group member onto his body.

Snoop's tattoo reveals Nate's face with an "All Doggs Go To Heaven" phrase below it.
Snoop Dogg has found an interesting way to remember his friend Nate Dogg, who died earlier this month. The "Gin and Juice" rapper got a tattoo sleeve of Nate on his arm, with the phrase "All Doggs go to Heaven" written underneath. "Tha tattoo u been waitin 2 c. My bro Nate Dogg by @Misterctoons," Snoop wrote on his Twitter page and posted a pic of the image on Saturday. (Us Magazine)
Yesterday, a funeral was held in the memory of Nate Dogg.
On a dark and damp Saturday morning (March 26), thousands of family, friends and fans turned out for one last show from their hero, rap legend Nate Dogg, who was laid to rest in his hometown of Long Beach. Inside the Long Beach Cruise Terminal, lights shined down on the wooden coffin adorned with red and white flowers. Two jumbo screens on opposite sides of his casket flashed six different photos of the singer from a childhood boy, when he was known to family as "Buddy," to the platinum singer known to the world as Nate Dogg. West Coast rap artists including Dr. Dre, Game, DJ Quik, Mack-10 and WC, DJ Pooh, Battlecat and others were on hand to pay their respects to the singer with platinum vocal chords. (MTV)
Although just barely over 20, West Coast rap newcomer YG recently told SOHH about his connection to Nate Dogg's son.
"I'm a big fan of Nate Dogg," YG told SOHH. "Nate Dogg's son is like my little brother's homeboy, we're cool. So I'm gonna do something for him and when he passed away, I tweeted, "Rest In Peace Nate Dogg" a couple times and everybody re-tweeted it. I grew up listening to Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, the whole 213. Nate Dogg is a f*cking legend. And that sh*t is f*cked up but it's life. I've known Nate's son for about two years or so. I used to stay in these apartments out in Long Beach and his son used to stay out over there. He was real cool with my little brother. So I've known him for about two years." (SOHH)
While an official cause of death has not yet been revealed, Dogg's family believes it was in relation to medical complications.
Nate Dogg's family believes the singer's death was caused by complications stemming from the two strokes he suffered over the past couple of years ... this according to the singer's close friend and manager Rod McGrew. McGrew tells TMZ ... Nate's death was unexpected ... since he was making significant progress in his recovery from the most recent stroke he suffered in 2008. According to McGrew ... Nate was "95% recovered from the first stroke in 2007" ... when the second stroke occurred in 2008 ... leaving Nate partially paralyzed and causing partial memory loss. But McGrew says Nate had "cognitively fully recovered" -- meaning he got his memory back and was fully alert and aware all the way up to his final days. (TMZ)

Lil Wayne To Paris Hilton, "At The End Of This Year, I Want To Be Able To Say I Banked $50 Million"

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne sat down with celebrity Paris Hilton to open up about his time in jail, a possible music collaboration and aim to hit $50 million before 2012.

Speaking with Hilton for a feature in Interview Magazine's April issue, Weezy talked about his eight-month jail stint and money-making dream.
"For me it was okay because it just meant that I was alone with my thoughts," said Wayne of his one-month stint in solitary confinement, after being caught with an iPod at Rikers Island last year. The 28-year-old was serving an eight-month sentence after being convicted of criminal possession of a weapon. "There were times when it was pretty tough to be by yourself, and to have no television, no sort of nothing...I was okay. I did fine," said Wayne, who released an album in jail. "At the end of this year, I want to be able to say that I banked $50 million," he said. "Not generated $50 million, but actually banked $50 million.'' (New York Daily News)
Their conversation also led to a possible collaboration being in the works.
The blonde heiress interviewed Wayne for the April issue of Interview magazine, but Weezy was the one who offered his services. "I was gonna ask you, how are you gonna release an album and don't get me on it?" he told Paris, who is prepping her sophomore effort for this summer. "Well, if you would be on the album, then I would be honored," she replied. "That would be the sickest thing. We should get each other's phone numbers so we can call each other after the interview or text or something." It didn't take any convincing for Wayne to jump on board. "Cool. Sounds good," he said before exchanging digits with the socialite. (Rap-Up)

Foxy Brown Tossed From Cruise, "You Had To Really Act A Fool To Get Put Off"

Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown has reportedly experienced another incident where she was removed from an event and escorted elsewhere due to inexplicable behavior.

According to reports, Brown was recently escorted off a cruise with radio veteran Tom Joyner.
*Another "Brown" is in the news for acting a fool in public. Tom Joyner announced on his show this morning that Foxy Brown was kicked off of his "Fantastic Voyage" cruise and escorted right to a plane. "We put Foxy off the cruise. Prior to the removal, Foxy had reportedly called into Joyner's radio show.
The conversation ended abruptly, and no one could figure out if the call was accidentally disconnected, or if Foxy had hung up on them. Tom offered somewhat of an explanation, saying it was Foxy who cut the call short: "You know Foxy, after the interview, she called back and she was crying. And I said, 'See, she's gonna be alright.' Well, I was proven wrong." Tom and his fellow hosts did share that, because the ship doesn't have a jail, Foxy was "sent to her cabin" and "locked in[...] but that wasn't enough." Sybil, Tom's co-host, claimed that she was eventually removed from the ship and escorted to a plane. (Necole Bitchie)

Tyler The Creator Downplays B.o.B.'s "No Future" Diss, "I'm Officially In The Music Business"

Odd Future's Tyler the Creator has responded back to B.o.B.'s speculated "No Future" diss track by downplaying its seriousness despite multiple subliminal references aimed at his camp.

Writing on Twitter, Tyler also said he felt if the track was an actual diss, it is a positive look for him.
"I Didn't Hear My Name Or Nothing About Any Wolves So. Eh.," he tweeted Friday (March 25).
"If It Was A Diss Tho, Crazy That I'm On His Radar. Didn't Know People Took Me So Serious. I'm Officially In The Music Business."
""@bobatl: I don't feel like I was dissed, I actually laughed when I heard the line." See, Yall Take It To Serious.." (Tyler the Creator's Twitter)
The song began bubbling across the Internet yesterday.
Not everyone is an Odd Future fan. "You see the sh*t I gotta deal with from these beginners?" B.o.B. asks on the beginning of "No Future." He closes out the track with, "Body blow, upper cut, I do more than bruise ya/Keep f*ckin with me you ain't gon have no future." (Billboard)

Rick Ross Signs The First Lady Of Maybach Music

Southern rapper Rick Ross has shown no signs of slowing down his Maybach Music Group movement by signing the company's first female act, Teedra Moses.
I gotta say, even I didn't see this one coming. With all the rappers Ricky has been signing, it begs wondering whether a vocalist would be in the works and now, songstress Teedra Moses has joined the fold over at Maybach Music Group. Ms. Moses hinted at the deal in a recent interview with Vibe and how now officially changed her Twitter bio to "Maybach Group Soulstar". If you're not up on her music, be sure and check out her debut project Complex Simplicity, which is one of the greatest R&B/Neo-Soul albums ever. (Y2K Daily)
Earlier this week, Moses discussed the possibility of linking with Ross' team.
"I like the way they move, and I like the hunger over [there], and I like that it's all about work. As much as Rick talks about the glitz and glamour or whatever, he goes hard and he works hard, so I rock with that. And that's what I do. I work hard, I rock shows, I touch the people and I try to make good music. I'm not really into the hoopla." (VIBE)
