Soulja Boy Can't Crank Dat Tax Man, Rapper Owes $26K

Days after 21 year-old rapper Soulja Boy Tell Em made headlines for purchasing a $55 million private jet, leaked tax records show the Atlanta star owes nearly $30,000 to the government.
Details of what is owed from Soulja Boy landed online over the weekend.
'Scuse me for being skeptical about whether Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy bought a $55 million G5 jet for his 21st birthday. After all, his home was foreclosed last year, and he owes more than $30,000 in delinquent taxes, according to public records. The state of California filed a $26,805 lien against Soulja Boy -- real name DeAndre Way -- on March 24 with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds. The state of Mississippi filed a $3,571 lien Feb. 8 in Madison County Circuit Court. (Detroit News)
Despite the initial reporting, Soulja Boy recently paid off the amount owed to Mississippi.
He also owed the State of Mississippi $3,571 in back taxes but he paid the full amount just last week on July 22, 2011. (Radar Online)
A few days ago, he reportedly threw down $55 million on a private jet.
For our 21st birthday, we bought ourselves a 40. For Soulja Boy's 21st birthday, he decided to treat himself to a $55 million dollar jet. Why? Because he's worth it. To be honest, we're seriously surprised that Soulja has that kinda cash, but then again, he did write 'Donk'. His management team, who for some reason didn't stop him said that the young rapper purchased a G5 jet earlier in the week. (The Fab Life)
However, a Soulja Boy rep later came forward and dismissed the claims.
In a statement released on Friday, July 29, Greg Miller said, "The elaborate rumors circulating about Soulja Boy purchasing a jet for his 21st birthday are grossly over exaggerated." The spokesman additionally stressed that the rumors "are not true". (Ace Showbiz)
