Lil Boosie's Fate Put On The Line, Murder Trial Takes Shape

Southern rapper Lil Boosie's fate behind bars will finally be determined in the near future as one of his associates is set to begin trial on a murder he is accused of ordering.

According to reports, 18 year-old Michael "Marlo Mike" Louding is headed to court on multiple murder-related charges.
An 18-year-old charged with murdering six people in 14 months will be tried first for the death of 33-year-old rapper Chris "Nussie" Jackson, who was shot in the head in 2009, the East Baton Rouge Parish district attorney said. State District Judge Don Johnson has scheduled a hearing July 20 for Michael "Marlo Mike" Louding in that case. No trial dates have been set, District Attorney Hillar C. Moore III, said Friday. Jackson founded the record label Dope Celebrity Family in 2004, recorded three albums and regularly performed at clubs around Baton Rouge and south Louisiana. (Greenwich Time)
Additional reporting claims Louding was previously ordered to kill a man by Lil Boosie.
Prosecutor Dana Cummings has said in court that another killing Louding is charged with, that of 35-year-old Terry Boyd, was a hit allegedly ordered by nationally acclaimed rapper Torrence "Lil Boosie" Hatch of Baton Rouge. Hatch and Adrian Pittman, 36, of Baton Rouge also are charged with first-degree murder of Boyd, who was shot through a window of his house. During a hearing Thursday before state District Judge Richard Anderson in yet another case, Cummings said the state is ready to pick up the pace. "We're going to start moving our cases ... and prosecute them as quickly as possible," she told Anderson and Louding's attorney, Margaret Lagattuta. (The Republic)
Last month, Boosie was accused of threatening a district attorney.
Louisiana rapper Torrence "Lil Boosie" Hatch can't seem to stay out of trouble. Although he's already in jail serving time for a third-offense marijuana possession charge and is also facing an additional first-degree murder charge, he's managed to come under fire for allegedly making threats against District Attorney Hillar Moore and the DA's office. State Police spokesman Lt. Doug Cain confirmed the allegations. "I can confirm that we received information relative to a credible threat against District Attorney Hillar Moore and the District Attorney's Office. (BET)
Last year, Boosie was indicted on murder charges dating back to October 2009.
Torrance "Lil Boosie" Hatch was indicted in the October 21st shooting death of Terry Boyd. Michael Louding and Adrian Pittman are also indicted on first degree charges on Boyd's murder. East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore says all three of the alleged killers meet the criteria of first degree charges. Moore said that the death penalty is not out of the question. Hatch and girlfriend Walnita Decuir along with a former Dixon Correctional Institute guard and an inmate were also indicted on drug charges. (WAFB News)
