Kanye West's "Dark Twisted Fantasy" Follow-Up In The Works, Promises Detail

Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West is wasting no time relishing in the success of his Watch the Throne joint Jay-Z album and has already begun working on the follow-up to last year's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

According to producer Detail, he is latched on to work for Ye's upcoming solo effort.

"I can tell you who I'm working with this year," Detail said in an interview. "Kanye West, Drizzy Drake, obviously, Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, T-Pain...[What am I doing with Kanye?] Great music. [For his next album?] Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely -- I know when I get in with Kanye, everything's going to go to a whole 'nother level." (Rap-Up TV)

In January, Ye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy reached platinum status.

Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy received platinum certification. This gives him a handful of successful platinum LP's, The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduationand 808s & Heartbreak. Last year, G.O.O.D. Music's Pusha T talked to SOHH about Ye's album receiving a rare, perfect rating from XXL Magazine.

"Kanye is well-deserving of an XXL rating, whether he got it or not," Pusha told SOHH. "Rapping? People aren't f*cking with him rapping. Musically? People aren't f*cking with him. This is like he's pushing the bar. He's doing all of this awesome sh*t and at the same time he's keeping [a straight] face about it. That within itself says 'I win.' He wins, with the XXL rating and all of that, he wins." (SOHH)

To date, the rapper's Watch the Throne joint effort has sold over 700,000 copies.

Grammy-winning rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne moved down a notch to No. 2 with 94,200. Headed into their first full month, the duo's new joint LP has shelled out 707,100 copies. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
