Cali Swag's M-Bone Murder Stems From Jealousy, Says Girlfriend

More details have emerged following Sunday's unexpected fatal shooting of Cali Swag District member Montae "M-Bone" Talbert as his girlfriend claims jealousy ultimately played a role in what went down.
According to reports, the late rapper's girlfriend said a man living within their California complex was extremely jealous over M-Bone's success with Cali Swag.
The girlfriend -- who is scared and does not want her name used -- confirms M-Bone was in a Twitter war with the jealous man, which we previously reported. We're told the jealous man made threats of violence. The girlfriend tells us ... on Sunday ... she picked M-Bone up at the airport at 12:15PM and took him back to their apartment. Later that night, at around 10PM, M-Bone took her car and said he was going to the studio to record. She tells us soon after she got a call from another member of Cali Swag with the devastating news her boyfriend had been shot. (TMZ)
The rapper's life was taken away late Sunday (May 15) night.
Talbert was shot twice in the head Sunday night in the 400 block of North La Brea Avenue, said Lt. Steve Overly of the Inglewood Police Department, when someone pointed a gun out a car window and fired multiple shots. Talbert died later at a hospital. (Los Angeles Times)
Following his death, producer Jermaine Dupri reflected on the impact M-Bone and Cali Swag had on the West Coast region.
"That's my most significant memory about him...he was one of the main dudes who brought the dance back to them. The dance originated in Dallas and was brought to Cali. The members of the group are not from where the dance is from. He was the one who was really killing the Dougie." (RapFix)
M-Bone's death was initially confirmed by group member C-Smoove.
"Ma life changed drastically in the. Blink of an eye rip mbone," he tweeted Monday (May 16). (C-Smoove's Twitter)
