Nas Speaks On The Love Of His Life, "There's Nothing That Gives Me The Charge [Like]..."

Rap veteran Nas recently spoke on working toward putting out a follow-up to 2008's Untitled solo album and discussed what he finds to be his greatest joy in life.
Still working on a title for the project, Nas said music is his ultimate pleasure.
"I'm working on a solo album," Nas said in an interview. "I'm very excited about that. [No title] to share with the people yet. The producer list on the record is probably gonna be people I worked with in the past like Salaam Remi and some new producers as well...I love life...What else am I going to do? There's nothing that gives me the charge that I get making music. I do a lot of other things on the low, but I'm mostly proud of the music." (The Boom Box)
Last week, the New York rap veteran gave his thoughts on the current state of hip-hop.
"I'm happy about music, it's pushing me back into the studio. I just love what's happening [in music]: I love Odd Future, [Lil] Wayne, Drake, [Kanye West] [and] Rick Ross. It's something that threatens my position. Or it makes me question what I'm going to do next. What kind of impact do I want have now that I've been in the business this long. It's a challenge, it's scary even. But I'm very comfortable. I'm excited to see what comes out of me... I'm ready." (The Juice)
He also recently discussed how his signature flow has carried into other emcees' music.
"I like to stay doing me," Nas said. "I think the style is timeless. I hear it in a lot of people and it reminds me how timeless it is, the kind of style I do. And once I hit it, and it's right, it's golden. If I'm a little off with it? Ahh, I can't even listen to the song ever again. I'm just trying to perfect it so that it's right and it doesn't sound like I'm just doing something I [already] did. It feels fresh; like this is the first time I'm ever doing it." (MTV)
