@iPhone Math to Feature 4.8-Inch Screen and Launch in June, Says Report

According to a new report, the iPhone 5S will get a larger brother when it launches currently known as the iPhone Math.
China Times is reporting that Apple is working on a 4.8-inch version of its phone to launch alongside the iPhone 5S known as the iPhone Math. As the name doesn’t fit in with any current Apple naming scheme, it seems highly likely that this is a codename, or possibly even a mistranslation as the original story is in Chinese. There seems to be very little chance that this would be the name when the product hits the market.
According to the report components will begin production in March with assembly to begin in April. Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd is said to be handling 90 percent of the production, while Largan will be producing 8 million camera lenses. Foxconn Technology and Coxon will be handling the molding perts, Foxlink will be providing connectors and Hon Hai will be working on 4G connectivity. Fujikura, Flexium and Zhen Ding will be sharing duties for the printed circuit boards.
Most of the current rumors have been speaking to a cheaper iPhone coming to market alongside the anticipated iPhone 5S, and it seems unlikely that a 4.8-inch phone would be less expensive than the current iPhone 5. There is a very slim chance that the 5S could end up being the cheaper phone should this 4.8-inch rumor prove to be true, but that seems highly doubtful.
Adding to the suspect nature of these rumors is the fact that both phones are supposedly slated fo a June release. Typically Apple spaces iPhone releases by at least a year, but even noted Jefferies analyst Peter Misek suggested that an iPhone update could arrive as soon as this June.
Without a doubt there is at least one new iPhone in the pipeline, and while this 4.8-inch touchscreen rumor seems a bit suspect, there is definitely some growing momentum surrounding the idea that Apple wil debut more than one phone model this year.
