“Nas’ first album really connected with me when I first heard it, particularly ”One Love”. Q-Tip’s work on that cut was incredible, not to mention Nas’ lyrics. One day, I was diggin’ & came across its 12″ single of it. On the tracklist, I spotted the acapella version. Once I saw that, I knew that I had to make something of it. Plus, I knew that his 40th birthday was coming up. Why not do something special in his honor?”
