Wednesday night, shots were fired during a T.I. concert at Irving Plaza in New York City. One person was killed and three were injured.
According to a report from a local ABC news outlet, shots were fired around 10:15 p.m. Maino and Uncle Murda were on stage, and T.I. was about to perform.
Troy Ave was shot in the leg during the altercation, according to reports from his management. He's expected to make a full recovery.
It's also being confirmed that a friend and affiliate of Troy Ave, Banga (real name Ronald McPhatter), was the one killed during the shooting.
Myles Miller, the reporter on scene for PIX11, a local news station, said 50 Cent visited Troy Ave in the hospital, as well as the only female shooting victim, who is a girlfriend of one of his friends.
UPDATE: Apparently, Troy Ave shot himself in the leg. NY Daily News is reporting Ave has been arrested for reckless endangerment and illegal weapons possession.
A video has been released that allegedly shows Ave firing his gun.
UPDATE 2: Make that attempted murder and two counts of weapon possession.
UPDATE 3 (5/30): Troy Ave pleads not guilty, denied bail.
"What really happened here is Mr. Collins here is the real victim," Ave's lawyer Scott Leemon said. "The person who was killed at this event, he died a hero. He (McPhatter) was his bodyguard. He wasn't shot by Mr. Collins. He was a lifelong friend. This 11 seconds of video that the NYPD released, it doesn't say what happened before, it doesn't say what happened after. The scientific evidence will show he didn't shoot himself. This was another rush to judgement. In this case he's the victim and should be treated like the victim."
