Yesterday (April 1st), Big Sean was given the key to the city of Detroit, awarded personally by Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan—an honor that only two other people have received: Stevie Wonder and legendary Motown producer Berry Gordy.
Mayor Mike Duggan bestowed Big Sean with the honor while recognizing the positive work he’s done to help improve his community, as well as his Mogul Prep curriculum which he’s launched via his Sean Anderson Foundation, whose mission is “to assist in the education, health, safety and well-being of Detroit Area school aged youth as well disadvantaged youth in other areas across the nation,” marking yet another good deed following the construction of a studio for a local high school and delivering water to the city of Flint by the truckload.
