Revealing plans to help inspire kids to vote, Weezy F. Baby also pointed out his indifference with who becomes the president.
"I do. ... And that comes from age, and that comes from my vacation on Rikers Island (the New York City jail where Wayne did time in in 2010). Now that I know how important voting and elections and all that is. ... But everybody know that life is going to be life regardless of who is president." (Washington Post)Recently, rap veteran Nas vowed his support for President Barack
"I support Barack Obama and everything he does," said Nas. "It's just a hell of a game and I never paid too much attention or cared about a president's life until he got into office. I didn't feel they cared about my life. I just feel like it's a hell ofPresident Obama showed his love for Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy back in April during a White House Correspondent dinner.a job . I think he cares about all Americans. And we can say, me being a black man, I'm proud to have that kind of black man in office because it takes that kind of black man...A lot of people want him to cater only to African Americans on their time, when they're ready for him to do so. That's ridiculous." (The LIFE Files)
During his speech/comedy routine at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday night (Apr. 28), U.S. President and self-admitted rap fanRecently, Atlanta's DJ Drama told SOHH he believes President Obama is primed to serve another term come November.Barack Obama joked about following his impromptu Al Green rendition in January with a take on everyone's favorite Snowman, Young Jeezy. At the 14:30 mark, Obama starts to wrap up his speech by giving a "quick preview of the secret agenda you can expect" if he is re-elected in 2012. "In my first term, I sang Al Green," he says. "In my second term, I'm going with Young Jeezy." Following the nervous laughter from his onlookers (some of whom are likely unfamiliar with Jeezy's brand of thug motivation), Obama followed the joke by saying, "Michelle said, 'Yeeeeah.' I sing that to her sometimes." (Billboard)
"Oh, nah, never that, you know what I'm saying," Drama told SOHH when asked if he would retire the alias "Barack O'Drama" if President Obama does not win. "He has my support and I'm not going to say when he doesn't win because he's gonna win and we're going to keep the legacy going." (SOHH)
