In the commercial, Sam Jackson rocks a pink wig and nods his head to Minaj's Roman Reloaded smash hit.
We're anticipating major surprises this year from shocking moments to performances. Chris Brown, Usher, D'Angelo and Nicki are among the list of performers. Of course Nicki was the obvious choice for Jackson to spoof. Rocking a pink bob wig Jackson raps, sans the curse words, Nicki's chorus to "Beez in the Trap." When he turns around to face the camera we see his gold plated four finger rings on each hand. One spells out "BET" and the other "Awards." It has to be hard for a man like Jackson to sport a pink wig while keeping a stone cold face. But he does, until the very end. We only have one question: is it just us or was this the softest we've heard Jackson speak? His delicate voice was so out of character for him. If there was one time he had to yell in the camera, rapping "Beez in the Trap" would be it. Nonetheless he's hilarious. (Vh1)Minaj's eye-catching "Beez" music video premiered last April.
Nicki Minaj is parading her assets in a newly-debuted music video for her single "Beez in the Trap". The female rapper provocatively moves her curvaceous body which is clad in a leopard-print and a neon-green bikini. She also seduces the camera from behind a wire fence. The music video with club-party atmosphere was directed by Benny Boom and filmed in Miami. It features cameos from Minaj's featured guest 2 Chainz and Cash Money label boss/rapper Birdman. Fresh off the success of his latest blockbuster The Avengers, Samuel L. Jackson will host the 12th annual BET Awards. The show will feature performances by Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj. Kanye West received the most nominations this year with seven, followed by Beyonce (6) and Kanye's close friend and "Watch the Throne" collaborator Jay-Z, who received five. (Seattle PI)Elusive R&B veteran D'Angelo is slated to perform at the event.
The BET AWARDS 12 performance stage line-up is getting hotter and definitely "Too Big To Miss." Added to the roster is platinum musician D'Angelo, who will make his long-awaited return to the television stage after twelve years. His highly anticipated performance can be seen at the BET AWARDS 12, only on BET Networks, July 1, 2012 at 8 p.m (Sac Bee)
