Foxy Brown's Brother Gets Thrown In The Slammer, Headed To Prison Over Credit Card Scam

Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown's brother, Gavin Marchand, has reportedly been sentenced to nearly three years behind bars after getting convicted for illegal use of credit cards.
Rapper Foxy Brown's brother is headed to prison for using forged credit cards to go on a luxury shopping spree and club jaunt in New York City. Gavin Marchand didn't speak as he was sentenced Wednesday to 2½ to five years in prison. The 36-year-old pleaded guilty last month to identity theft. (Washington Post)
Mr. Marchand reportedly spent nearly $10,000 during his illegall credit card run.
Authorities say he racked up an $8,000 tab on phony credit cards at an Hermes boutique in Manhattan in August 2010. Prosecutors say the cards were fake, but they had legitimate account numbers that belonged to other people. Marchand's guilty plea also resolved charges that he used bogus cards to spend thousands of dollars at a Manhattan nightclub. (CBS News)

Rapper Foxy Brown's bad-boy big brother will spend at least two and a half years in prison after pleading guilty today to a creditcard scheme in which he swiped $8,000 from the Hermes on Madison Ave. last year. Gavin Marchand, 36, pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree identity theft. He'd been busted in Aug. 2010 when he tried to use an obviously bogus MasterCard to buy clothes at the fancy French boutique. An undercover street crime unit cop was doing surveillance in the store at the time -- and lit out after Marchand and three of his buddies when they fled the store. (New York Post)
Roughly a year ago, Foxy's brother was arrested in New York City.
The brother of rapper Foxy Brown was arrested on grand larceny charges after a court appearance Thursday where he pleaded not guilty to identity theft charges. The new charge was grand larceny, the New York Post reported. Additional details about the charge were not divulged by prosecutors. Marchand's two friends --Derwin Benoit, 34, and Warren David, 31 -- were also arrested. (DNA Info)
