50 Cent Brings Back His Pimpin' Skills, Leaves Curly In The Dust

G-Unit leader 50 Cent's past portrayal as a pimp with his Pimpin' Curly viral series may have paid off as he is now headed to Alaska to play a procurer in an upcoming new film.

Although details are still emerging, the project is set to take place in the 1980's.
50 Cent has just signed on for yet another challenging movie role. The rapper-actor will play a 1980's-era pimp in the upcoming film, The Frozen Ground. Fif is set to star alongside Nicholas Cage, John Cusack and Vanessa Hudgens in the thriller, based on the true story of serial killer Robert Hansen, also known as the "Butcher Baker," who preyed on prostitutes and strippers in Alaska. Cusack plays Hansen in the movie, but specifics about 50's role are still a mystery because the film's producers have declined to reveal details about the character. 50 will also serve as an executive producer on the film. More details surrounding the film's protagonist have been revealed.
The movie is based on real life serial killer Robert Hansen, aka the "Butcher Baker", who, between 1980-1983, kidnapped and raped at least 21 women before flying them out to a remote Alaskan location, where he would release them to hunt and kill them. The film's casting director is also looking for 400 and 600 extras to appear in the movie, as well as 45 local actors for minor speaking roles. They are especially on the lookout for people who look like law enforcement officers, and hope state troopers and local police officers respond to the call for auditions. (On Location Vacations)
During his 2009 feud with Miami's Rick Ross, 50 made multiple viral videos impersonating a fictional pimp.
"Yeah, Brooke used to be your motherf**king girl, man," "Curly" says in the video. "Not no more, she with me...I heard you on the radio talking about me and Flex was laughing and I don't like that sh*t...Yeah she used to be your girl man, Brooke, your other baby momma, I got both your motherf*cking baby momma's...I'ma say this sh*t nice and slow for you for the last time, I'ma f**k up your life...You in trouble, you done f**ked with the wrong one...You a Carol City cop, n***a, you think I don't know who you is? I'll get you when I'm ready to get you." (This Is 50)
Ricky Rozay is reportedly responsible for inspiring Fif's character.
"Curly as we call him in the South," Ross said. "That's what we call him. He's not straight. We like girls. See if he was a real gangsta, a real 'G', if he was gonna take [my baby's mother Tia] up and take her shopping, you should have banged on tape. That's what you shoulda did. (Hot 97)
