With the Occupy Wall Street movement continuing to grow stronger with each passing day, rapper Immortal Technique claims President Barack Obama is partially responsible for fueling the protests.
The New York rapper feels President Obama's failure to meet his own goals has contributed to the publicized nationwide movement.

"[People] would almost surrender their freedom to more efficient government - similar to what Russia will have to deal with when they decide whether Putin is going to come back into power," Immortal Technique said. "There are a lot of people who will think: 'Oh, functionality over the visage of democracy' that exists there. So I think the entire world is really dealing with that now: will it be oligarchy, autocratic regime that's more functional because it's backed by corporations, or more of a democratic regime that could be hit-and-miss on certain things, may take a hit on jobs -- When [Obama] came in, he came in with the idea that he was going to reform things. And when that was not met, when the criteria that he set up himself for what the reform would entail was not completed - I don't think that created the Occupy Wall Street movement, but it definitely added fuel to the fire." (RT)Over the summer, Mobb Deep's Prodigy said President Obama is focused on world domination.
"My view on [Obama] is that, number one, you can't be a president of the United States unless you're a part of this bloodline that they got going on that goes all the way back to European royalty," P explained in an interview. "So, they got this bloodline going on and whether people believe it or not, it's very real. You will not be an American president unless you are linked and a part of this bloodline. Obama is...From what I see, whether he knows it or not, he's down with this whole conspiracy to rule the world. He's a part of it. To brainwash people, to kill people, genocide, everything that goes on out here that's so fantastic you really don't want to believe it, he's a part of it." (Alex Jones)A couple months prior, Grammy-winning rapper Lupe Fiasco made headlines for labeling President Obama the nation's biggest terrorist.
"In my fight against terrorism, to me, the biggest terrorist is Obama in the United States of America," Fiasco said in an interview. "For me, I'm trying to fight the terrorism that's actually causing the other forms of terrorism. The root cause of the terrorism is the stuff that you as a government allow to happen and the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it's easy for us because it's really just some oil, which we can really get on our own." (CBS News)Recently, rap mogul Russell Simmons discussed his plan to launch a massive protest in support of Occupy Wall Street.
"In a minute, we'll pick a date and we're going to bring all the rappers and the community," Simmons exclusively told XXL. "I think I'm going to have to do it. [The protestors] are going to be here all winter. We'll pick a date that we can go up there with 100,000 people or so and do what we have to do. I think it has to be spring. I think that's a realistic time." This comes after Simmons told XXL last week that he'd be willing to go to prison over this, as he believes in the movement that much. Protesters have been clogging Zuccotti Plaza for over a month now, trying to take and balance out power from the powers that be in Washington and have the wealthy 1% give them back to majority 99%. (XXL Mag)Occupy Wall Street (OWS) is an ongoing series of demonstrations beginning September 17, 2011, in New York City's Zuccotti Park in the Wall Street financial district. The protests have focused on social and economic inequality, high unemployment, greed, as well as corruption, and the undue influence of corporations.
