The buzz behind New York rapper French Montana may have reached a boiling point as new reports claim the "Shot Caller" hitmaker has inked a deal with Diddy's Bad Boy Records.
While nothing is confirmed just yet, reports claims the alleged deal could also be a joint venture with Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group.

I've heard from a few sources that Diddy has managed to sign French Montana to Bad Boy records. I was skeptical at first but that was followed by Diddy being on the, "Shot Caller," remix. I also heard it may be a joint venture with Bad Boy Records and MMG. Would this be a good move for French? (Real Talk NY)A couple days ago, French dropped his "Shot Caller" remix with guest spots from Puff and Ricky Rozay.
Diddy isn't too high on a lot of people's lists as far as favorite musicians/businessmen are concerned, but here's one thing he does do well. In fact, he's one of the all time greats at this certain quality. Talking cash money sh*t on wax is what the Ciroc Boy was put on this Earth for, even if it did get Tip nearly sent back to the clink. Puff takes his vocal talents to the remix of French Montana's "Shot Caller" as the buzz continues to build for Max B's former running mate and the mysterious case of which label he signed to. To feed the fire of those saying MMG, The Fat Man makes the Bugatti Boyz cypher complete. His verse here wasn't as entertaining as that of his "Choppa Down (Remix)," but suitable enough to get those who actually care about French's future talking. (Smoking Section)In mid-November, Frenchie hinted at possible label offers courtesy of Kanye West, Jay-Z, Diddy, Rick Ross and more.
"Shout out ot everybody who's been showing me love -- It's everybody. I didn't really make a decision yet. But shout out to everybody that's been showing me love. Shout out to Jay-Z, shout out to Kanye, definitely shout out to Puff, shout out to my brother Rick Ross, shout out to Sony, shout out to Def Jam, shout out to Interscope, shout out to everybody. I love everybody, man. I just want to make the right decision and keep the music coming. I'm just focused on the music." (DJ Absolut)A week prior, Montana and Kanye West were spotted together in New Jersey.
It seems Kanye West hasn't given up on signing "Shot Caller" rapper French Montana to his Def Jam label "G.O.O.D." Sources at Jay-Z and West's "Watch the Throne" concert at New Jersey's Izod Center Saturday say West was "all over" Montana backstage. Since Montana left Akon's Konvict Muzik, he's been flirting with West and Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group. Montana tweeted a photo with West backstage hinting that he'd signed with him. West was later spotted at the Darby Downstairs sitting near the DJ booth where Mick Boogie was spinning. (New York Post)If French Montana's deal is legit, he joins a Bad Boy roster which includes R&B singer Cassie plus rappers Red Cafe and Machine Gun Kelly.
