Pusha T Reveals Turning Down Kanye West & Jay-Z "Watch The Throne" Anthem

G.O.O.D. Music's Pusha T may have indirectly helped boost the hype surrounding Kanye West and Jay-Z's Watch the Throne album by revealing being offered the album's latest single, "N*ggas In Paris," but ultimately turning it down.
Due to his G.O.O.D. Music status, Pusha said Yeezy offered him the "N*ggas In Paris" instrumental.
"'Ye gave me beats and that was in the bunch. "N*ggas in Paris" was playful to me and I was in demonic rap mode," Pusha explained in an interview. "I was like, "Yo, I don't want this right now," he was like, "Man, this will be a club smash," and I'm like, "Maybe, but don't ask me to wrap my brain around that when I'm writing stuff like 'My God,' which is another Hit Boy beat." A few weeks ago, Grand Hustle leader T.I. confirmed speculation about remixing Jay and Ye's new record.
A while back the Grand Hustle general mentioned that he might be on Jay-Z and Kanye West's "N*ggas in Paris (Remix)." When asked about the status of that record, T.I. said, "Well, I officially have recorded my verse. And I haven't spoken to 'Ye. I let 'Ye hear it . I think 'Ye let Jay hear it as well. I don't think a determination has been made on whether or not it is going to be official. But if it's not official, it will be unofficial. It will be heard one way or another. I will assure you that." But that's not all. T.I. wants to add his vocals to more songs. "I'm looking for some more records to jump on," he said. "That's what I'm doin' right now. I'm commandeering hit records right now. I'm hijacking hit records. If you got a hit I'm on it." (XXL Mag)
In late September, Flipmode Squad head honcho Busta Rhymes made noise by remixing "N*ggas In Paris."
Busta Rhymes has been dropping a constant stream of music over the last few days, and today is no different. Even though a lot of people haven't remixed much of Watch The Throne, Busta decided to spit a verse on the "N*ggas In Paris" song. He wastes no time in ripping the track apart and putting his stamp on the beat, and he does a great job. Although he spits only one verse, that verse is worth the listen. Busta sounds great rapping fast over this hit-boy produced beat, and it almost makes you wonder what he could have done if he had the whole song to himself. This remix isn't something you should miss. (Stupid Dope)
Recently, Pusha T talked about holding down the state of Virginia.
"In all honesty, we've come a long way in my city. And when I say my city, I really mean that," Pusha said in an interview referring to Virginia Beach. "Out here, we've come a long way musically to be accepted by the bigger cities, the bigger Hip Hop hubs, so I'm not gonna get into anything that's gonna be an embarrassment to my city. Everybody knows, as far as this whole Virginia thing goes, I rep this to the fullest. I've been doing it out here for a long, long time. I've been holding this place down everywhere I go. When they ask for the face of "VA," there's a few names that they're gonna bring up. And mine is definitely one of them." (Hip Hop DX)
