Lil Wayne Announces Newest Young Money Signee, "I Want To Reveal Something Now"

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne is expanding his Young Money roster with the addition of 14 year-old singer Torion Sellers.

Speaking via a public service announcement video, Weezy showed off his team's latest signee.
"Hello world, this is PSA number two. Public service announcement number two" Wayne said in the video. "I got Mack Maine right here. We're here on behalf of Young Money/Cash Money Records. I want to reveal something new. I want to reveal something needed. I want to reveal something now. I want to reveal something then. I want to reveal the future. Not only the future of Young Money/Cash Money, but the future. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, my newest artist. I'm so, so blessed, so appreciative to be able to say I present to you, my new artist, Torion." (Derick G)
The signing comes just days after Birdman inked rap veteran Busta Rhymes to the Cash Money/Young Money family.
"Another day, another dollar," Birdman said in a video. "We just wanted to let y'all know he's the newest of the team. I really appreciate you f*cking with us like that -- we looking for big things, he's got his first single coming out this week. YMCMB, the largest empire in the world. F*ck with us -- I'm looking for big moves, big things, all the time, every time. I believe in the talent and we're gonna make it do what it f*cking do." (Derick G)
A few months ago, Young Money's Gudda Gudda spoke to SOHH and talked about Weezy's decision-making process when it comes to signing new acts.
Lil Wayne's not gonna sign you just because you look like a rapper. At the end of the day, there's got to be some type of talent and some type of good music coming out of you in order to be here. If you got some heat, then hopefully one day you'll be able to come across Wayne or somebody in Young Money that could [possibly] present you to Wayne. Maybe [a record deal] could happen like that." In October, Wayne discussed how important it is to prioritize Young Money/Cash Money projects.
"Drake's album Take Care is coming November 15, Nicki [Minaj] is about to start working on her next album -- [Birdman] coming out; I'm Not a Human Being II and Rebirth II is so not important right now -- We got [Lil] Twist coming, we got Tyga Tyga coming, and then we have Shanell coming, then we got Bow Wow -- that's what's really important. What I'm doing is really never important, actually. I'm a very unimportant guy. It's just me." (MTV)
