Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne is making headlines in relation to a sexual assault which reportedly took place during one of his recording sessions held earlier this year in California.
Although Wayne is not being targeted nor accused, the attack took place during his set in January.
We're told the man targeted in the investigation is famed music producer Noel "Detail" Fisher -- who owns the house in Canyon Country, CA where the alleged assault went down. According to sources, Detail had several people over to the house (which has a recording studio inside) for a Pre-Grammy party -- during which Lil Wayne was laying down some tracks. Sources tell TMZ the alleged victim was a female catering assistant -- who was hired for the party to take care of the food. (TMZ)Additional reports claims the victim was held captive in Detail's home overnight before escaping to police.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ cops are looking into allegations that Detail held her against her will overnight and sexually assaulted her ... after which she managed to escape and alert police. We're told she was questioned in the hospital, where she also submitted to a rape test. So far, no word on the results. Law enforcement sources tell us the investigation is still ongoing and Lil Wayne is not mentioned anywhere in the report. Detail could not be reached for comment. (Fashion Ent Law)Outside of legal matters, Wayne is currently preparing for the release of his long-awaited Tha Carter IV album.
"Tha Carter IV is done," Wayne told MTV News. "All they need to do is tell Tez [manager Cortez Bryant] to stop sitting on it. Tez, stop sitting on Tha Carter IV and put the album out." Bryant, Weezy's longtime manager, was in attendance and provided the specific release date. "May 16, believe that," Wayne said. "It can come out tomorrow 'cause I'm so finished ... Tha Carter IV will be dropping May 16. If you're not doing anything, do me," he added. (MTV)
