Although he has not yet offered a release date, 50 hinted at plans to drop the project this year.
"I been working hard my album its almost done. I took my time now every body's gonna hear 2011 GET RICH OR DIE TRYING. The meanest sh*t," hetweeted May 11th. (50 Cent's Twitter)
50 recently revealed his interest in snagging G.O.O.D. Music's Kanye West to assist with the LP.
"The usual suspects. I want to get with Kanye on this album. See if we can come up with something," 50 revealed in an interview. "I didn't work with [Dr.] Dre yet. I wouldn't hold my project up for [Dre production], but I want to get in to do it. It's always a process. I also worked with Swizz Beatz on this one." (VIBE)
After promising to release the album's first single last month, 50 later had a change of heart.
"I tweeted something about the actual single," 50 explained in an interview. "While I'm out here, I gotta meeting and I gotta sit with Jimmy [Iovine], I gotta sit with the guys that push the button. I've done it by myself on my other albums because I've got my own radio staff, and I work the record, then get it to 500 hundred spins and then let them kick in. But I think it's better if I go with the entire building and have everybody on deck so they understand my plans for this project." (MTV)
