Diggy Simmons Bombs Internet W/ J. Cole Diss, "Little N*gga Named Cole Think He Live Like Me"

A war of words between Roc Nation's J. Cole and rap newcomer Diggy Simmons is officially underway, as Reverend Run's son has dropped a diss track aimed at the North Carolina-bred emcee.

On his new "What You Say To Me," Diggy wastes no time in name-checking Cole.
"The other day I was listening to Purple Rain, couldn't believe all of the things that I heard em say/Who dat, who dat, you know who it is, heard you lying on my sis, tellin people that you hit when your album drops I'ma hit you with your bricks, so I'ma bomb first on you since you wanna riff/Who you gonna call, you ain't got no friends, this fight is fixed, you ain't got no wins/Little n*gga named Cole think he live like me, jet setter trend setter, yeah you not like me/Can't find a girl that you know that do not like me, can't find a girl I know, who know you, you dumb fool/Wasn't even poppin' in the school you used to go to." ("What You Say To Me")
Hip-hop personality Miss Info has already begun analyzing the potential beef.
It's officially April Fools' Day, but don't tell that to Diggy Simmons. Looks like the young MC had something to get off his chest in the song, "What You Say To Me." The origin of the song is unknown, but when listening to the second verse it seems as though Diggy didn't take a certain line on J. Cole's "Grew Up Fast" too lightly. Diggy also references J. Cole's "Purple Rain" off his Friday Night Lights mixtape, touching on the subject of his sister Vanessa Simmons. Both J. Cole and Vanessa attended St. Johns University in New York at the same time. Again, it is April Fools' and a week after Diggy's debut album, Unexpected Arrival released to low first-week numbers moving 21,000 copies. First Canibus, then Charles Hamilton, now this. Looks like J. Cole is the current target in rap right now. (Miss Info)
The track is believed to be a response toward Cole's "Grew Up Fast."
"Move along cock-sucker, ain't got nothing to see, 'less you talking blockbuster, you n*ggas is not Russell/You more Diggy, Me, I'm more Biggie/No diss to the young boy, I'm just rapping, get bored quickly" ("Grew Up Fast")
No stranger to getting dissed, Cole recently got put on blast by Harlem rapper Charles Hamilton.
"I remember when I met you, you was dissin' Jay/ Sh*t bothered me anyway/It's not that I didn't like him, I just heard rumors/ And I heard you was my junior/ Throwin' up the Roc sign/I assumed that you knew what it meant/Apparently, you didn't/N*gga you was fishin', barely was livin'/ And I'm the one who put you in your new position/Just remember, n*gga -- Diss me back, I'm waiting on the diss track/I ain't Drizzy, but I will rip a track and diss you on it/On this, I vomit, sh*t and comment/A grip, palm it, get off of my d*ck..."
