UPDATE: Police In Possession Of Cocaine Recovered From Whitney Houston's Hotel Room

Over a month after the tragic passing of iconic singer Whitney Houston, new reports claim cocaine was present in her Beverly Hills hotel room and recovered by police.

While details are still scarce, reports claim an undetermined amount of cocaine is now in the Beverly Hills police's possession.
TMZ has learned that cocaine was present in Whitney Houston's hotel room at the time of her death. No details on how much was actually recovered, but "white, powdery remnants" were tested and it was confirmed that the substance was indeed cocaine. According to earlier reports, the substance was a contributing factor of her death. The investigation is at its final stages and rumors swirling about drugs being cleaned out of the hotel room may have been false. Beverly Hills police are not investigating any suspects involved in a clean-up effort because they are in possession of the controlled substance. (Complex)
Last week, R&B singer Ray J denied having any knowledge of Houston's drug usage.
Ray J is pissed that people are accusing him of being Whitney's enabler and, even worse, fueling her with the fatal dose of cocaine. Ray J's rep tells TMZ ... the singer had NO KNOWLEDGE that Whitney was using again. The rep says Ray J is especially upset at claims made by Bobby Brown's sister, Leolah Brown, who went on TV Thursday night and suggested Ray J was to blame for Whitney's demise. Ray J says the claim is absolute B.S. We're told Ray J wasn't even around Whitney the day she died. He was in San Diego. (TMZ)
Ex-husband Bobby Brown's sister, Leolah Brown, fingered Ray J as the person responsible for contributing to Houston's demise.
Leolah Brown, the sister of Houston's ex-husband, Bobby Brown, went on the "Dr. Drew" show on HLN on Thursday night and made some salacious allegations aimed at Houston's frequent companion, singer Ray J. Leolah claimed that she saw Ray J leaving Houston's hotel room in a hurry on the night of her death in February. "I saw Ray J coming out of the hotel, hiding his head, being pushed into the car," she told Drew. "Why? I looked and I said, 'why is he hiding his face?' He's always trying to show his face when he's around Whitney. Why now? Why are you trying to hide now Ray J?" (MTV)
Recently, a Los Angeles coroner's report revealed cocaine likely contributed to her untimely death.
Whitney Houston died from an accidental drowning in a hotel bathtub, but the "effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use" were contributing factors in her death, the Los Angeles County Coroner said in an autopsy report released Thursday. Houston, 48, was "found submerged in bathtub filled with water" and "no trauma or foul play is suspected," the coroner said. The toxicology tests found other drugs in her body, including marijuana, the anti-anxiety drug Xanax, the muscle relaxant Flexeril and the allergy medicine Benadryl, the report said. But these drugs "did not contribute to the death," it said. (CNN)
