Brisco Surrenders To Police In Miami

Florida rapper Brisco reportedly turned himself over to police Monday (July 11) after reports of an arrest warrant for him emerged online last week.

Details of his surrender to police hit the Internet yesterday evening.
A popular rapper wanted for a local assault on a teen has turned himself in to authorities, North Miami Beach Police said Monday. He was being booked in Miami-Dade County jail Monday afternoon. Brisco's attorney did not immediately return a phone call on the matter. (NBC Miami News)
Booked on aggravated assault, Brisco is reportedly connected to an incident involving one of his ex-employees.
After sending a text message to Giovanni Nagy saying he was going to beat him up, Brisco, 29, later showed up at Nagy's North Miami condominium complex. Nagy's mother stepped outside to speak with the rapper in an effort to get him to leave her son alone and an argument broke out. Nagy came out of the apartment to defend his mother, and that's when police say Brisco pelted him with punches leaving him unconscious. In his haste to flee in a white Range Rover with the Florida tag: 863 TCA., police say Brisco left behind a red hat and one of the red sneakers he had on his feet. According to police, Giovanni Nagy's mother snapped cell phone pictures of the rapper while he was beating up her son. (Miami Herald)
Yesterday, Brisco left a Twitter message suggesting he would turn himself in.
"I'm gone!," he tweeted Monday (July 11). (Brisco's Twitter)
The rapper's last publicized run-in with police was around 2009.
Mitchell, who has recorded with other big-name rappers including Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, made headlines in August 2009 when he was pistol-whipped and robbed at a Miami barbershop. News accounts at the time said gunmen stole his Range Rover and about $40,000 worth of jewelry, including a gold watch, bracelet, chain and pendant. (Sun-Sentinel)
