Lil Wayne Needs Fire For 'Carter IV' LP, "These N*ggas' Beats Been Sucking"

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne has challenged producers to bring their A-game by revealing his displeasure in the range of production currently resting on his forthcoming Tha Carter IV album.

While not name-dropping any particular hitmaker, Weezy said producers need to step their beats up.
"These n*ggas' beats been sucking," Wayne explained in an interview. "I'm putting it out there: You producing? What y'all doing? Get right, man. Step it up. This is coming from a rapper. One of the best rappers. I ain't saying I'm the best no more, because these n*ggas is too good these days. I got old. But d*mn, y'all n*ggas' beats is terrible! [Chad Ochocinco walks into the room] These n*ggas' beats sound like Ochocino made them." (XXL Magazine)
Despite Weezy's claims, Young Money star Nicki Minaj previously talked to radio host Tim Westwood about the project's superior production.
"Of course, if Wayne would have me, yes," Minaj told Tim Westwood when asked if she will appear on Tha Carter IV. "I think that's going to be very anticipated. I think it's already being anticipated. His beat selection alone is going to friggin' kill. I've already heard a couple of the beats, in fact, the other day, I went to tell this producer, 'Yo, hold that beat for me.' And he said, Wayne already took it. And it hurt my heart, I was like, 'Errr'. But yeah, he's snatching them up. He's ready. I cannot wait. I'm just, I'm proud of him. I'm super proud of him." Young Money's Gudda Gudda recently spoke to SOHH about the LP living up to 2008's Tha Carter III.
"I think it's going to be big and I'm not just saying that because he's my homie," Gudda Gudda told SOHH when asked about the delayed project. "I'm just being honest. I think it's going to be big and it can match up to what Tha Carter III did. The expectations are really big and it's going to be really big for hip-hop when it finally comes out." (SOHH)
As of now, the project will not drop until next month.
Looks like "John" featuring Rozay wasn't picking up the steam it needed. The good folks over at Universal just let loose a new release date for Dwayne's highly anticipated Carter IV which is now August 29th and not June 21st. However, with his recently released left field single "How To Love", I'm sure the Young Money leader will have plenty of leg room to work that as well as a visual for the effort. Hell, The Martian might be able to let go of another offering as well. (You Heard That New)
