Nicki Minaj's Cousin Laid To Rest, Funeral Held In NYC

Young Money star Nicki Minaj's slain cousin was finally laid to rest this weekend days after being fatally shot in Brooklyn, New York.

Details of the funeral arrangements landed online Saturday (July 9) evening.
A funeral service was held Saturday for the cousin of rapper Nicki Minaj who was shot to death early this week. Nicholas Telemaque, 27, was shot several times on East 52nd Street and Farragut Road Monday night. One woman who attended his funeral said she'd never seen Saint Vincent Ferrer Church so filled with mourners. "I can't really express how it felt, but between tears we celebrated Nicholas and he went home," the woman said. "It was just a beautiful funeral. The pews were filled with mourners. The church was packed." (New York 1)
Earlier in the week, the New York Police Department confirmed Minaj's cousin was murdered.
The NYPD tells E! that Telemaque was found with multiple gunshot wounds yesterday at 2:40 a.m. after officers responded to a 911 call of shots fired. "He was the victim of multiple gunshot wounds in his upper torso," an NYPD spokesman said. EMS arrived on the scene shortly after and transferred him to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. (E! News)

After a track leaked, called "Miss You" referencing an unexpected July death , Minaj hit up Twitter to clear up the confusion.
"Tho the lyrics of "We Miss You" eerily depict the circumstances surrounding my cousin's death, I wrote & recorded that song on 5/24/2010," she tweeted July 7th.
"It was sent to Mariah Carey & Keyshia Cole over a year ago for a possible feature. It didn't make "Pink Friday" due to clearance issues."
"Its an unauthorized leak. Thank u ALL for your kind words and well wishes. Love" (Nicki Minaj's Twitter)
